v Millwall (a) - 21/12/2024

Always the possibility that the outstanding form of recent games might stutter to a halt, but hopefully it will continue as we trudge to the home of Harry the Dog on Saturday. The JE mantra of one game at a time seems to get the best from this bunch of players, so we can go there full of confidence, and with the capability to mix things up and still get a result, as happened on Saturday.

Once again a draw would be a worthy result, and three points more than enough icing for the Christmas cake. If we could maintain the clean sheet run, that would give a strong platform to kick on, especially if our largely misfiring strikeforce somehow hit form.

Still, I'm a bit nervous about this one, as there are no easy games in this division.

Dogged Determination - Harry's baying mob 0 Resilient Rovers 0

Woof on the Nerves - Barking Boys 2 Ragged Rovers 1

Howl at the Moon - Millwall 0 Rovers 4

Mindset has to be we know what it takes to get the win.

Now we have to go on the pitch and earn that win.

It won't get easier because every club we face has all the technology and experienced brains working out how to stop the Eustace machine.

I don't think we've got enough firepower to ever expect to put teams to the sword, but you'd hope we can at least get a result on Saturday - we've very hard to beat at the moment.

The number of places available to the current front line players will be reduced by two sometime in January if JE and Swag are to be believed.

That should focus minds in front of goal...

How nice is it to have selection headaches of a positive nature rather than looking at a position and wondering who the hell can play there?

The big decisions -

Right back - JRC or Brittain? I'd stick with JRC but both in good form.

Does Beck return to left back or continue on left wing? I can see the latter. Eustace likes at least one more 'safe' winger.

Cantwell back in? A no brainer for me. Definitely yes.

ACD? Again, a yes for me. I know Eustace is a bit more cautious on the road but we need that star dust.

Gueye or Ohashi - leaning towards the former.

I'm happy for Beck playing higher up he does have that speed and ability to get in behind and is a handful.

Stay with JRC just for continued momentum then perhaps switch up if underperforming.

I'd start with Ohashi and keep Gueye hungry enough to give us perhaps 20, 30cmins of solid

Millwall fans don't seem to have a high opinion of their left back. Hopefully ACD can give him some troubles

Joe Bryan?  I seem to recall a few on here fancying him when he left Fulham a couple of years ago

I have an email with the order confirmation of the tickets but the tickets aren’t attached.

Away tickets aren't digital.

Rovers ticket office opens at 10am tomorrow, give them a call and they will arrange for duplicates to be collected at Milwall tomorrow

Unfortunately ticket office is shut now and isn’t open on Saturdays for away fixtures.

I am told that duplicate tickets are sent down on the coaches in case tickets haven’t arrived in time so hopefully will be able to figure something out at the ground.

That's incorrect.

The ticket office is open tomorrow 10-3.

Duplicates are printed at Milwall's end ready to collect on the day tomorrow, but you have to ring Rovers first so they can sort it out for you.

I know this because I rang them yesterday over the same issue, they told me if they don't arrive today to give them a ring either today or in the morning and they will sort out, luckily though mine came in today's post.
