I agree with JH here and Rovers should be making effort especially over the Christmas period with kids off and parents having time off aswell

You probably using one/two staff members dealing with online orders/tickets maximum. I suspect online orders go to maximum 50 a day with around three/four hours work. Barcode logistics delivery the Rovers online sales order.

It's irrelevant to the shop opening or closing who does the deliveries.

Your assumption about numbers of staff picking orders might be right, we don't know but if there are two staff picking orders why not put them behind the counter and serve customers? They still have to heat the place and turn the lights on so there is no energy cost savings.

As is usually the case it makes no sense apart from moving to an online ordering service and effectively closing the shop to the general public.

Rovers's online orders won't be massive like hundreds of online orders daily but around new shirts/clothing out on sale, black Friday sale, and Christmas time otherwise I would be shocked if it more than 10 a day in online orders otherwise outside those events above.

I'm agreeing the Shop shouldn't be closed on Monday at all

That's fair enough but your earlier posts read like you were trying to justify it.

No the complete opposite, I think Club Shop should be open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday, match day at Weekend 10am to 6pm then non match day Saturday 10am to 2pm.

I used to go in on Monday once a month. Now can't. I can understand their reasons whilst disagreeing with them and given the shop has a couple of staff in there for online orders and ticket sales, you might aswell open it for their shop opening hours

£10 a ticket offers for a weekend game work a treat, see Watford last season as the latest of many examples… so the club offer £10 for a Tuesday night in January and you can’t even buy one for yourself.

Another masterstroke from the brain trust down there.

Does this apply to Coventry fans too? If so good news for them, they'll sell loads at that price.

Rovers will do well to shift 500. Midweek, TV, loads of other games in the run up to then, and of course the usual strings attached to purchase.

Surely it shouldn't apply to visiting fans as well if only ST holders can get them for the home sections.

After suffering two big Coventry followings in the last 2 seasons and constantly seeing them slagging off our support, seemingly oblivious to the fact they have one of the worst % to population ratios in the country it'll be refreshing to see a more modest number this time.

Went to the Rovers shop today specifically to pick up a few things for Xmas. Got there at 14:00 to find the shop in darkness and a sign on door saying, closed at 13:30 today. Just as I was turning around and muttering expletives a lad with his son turned up, he had checked advertised opening hours before setting off from Clitheroe. Typical of Swag’s running of this once proud club 😡

In fairness to the club they did announce that they would be closed (I knew and wasn’t planning on going down)

This was in an email I got last week

And this was on the website yesterday.

In a similar vein, I went to a coffee shop earlier today, had arranged to meet someone to talk about something for work, only to find it was closed early because of a private function - it’s frustrating, but I guess it’s something that happens at this time of year (whether it should or not is debatable, I’m just making the case that Rovers aren’t unique in this area)

How are people meant to buy a half season ticket and seat when seats are taken up in general ticket sales. Does a half season ticket get you the same seat for all remaining games? If so then how can you choose if all the seats in the preferred areas are gone?

Two of my mates looking to grab them together and is proving tricky selecting a seat near my ST when there has been a  couple of spare seats most games

Noticed this thread has now been renamed ‘Half Season Tickets’ from FF.

Perhaps it should be renamed ‘Rovers Commercial Thread’ or something as it does seem to cover all sorts.

Bad merging from me there! Will sort the re-naming.

To be fair, I hadn’t checked that it was open before heading over but my expectation was that on the Tuesday prior to Xmas, it would have been welcoming paying customers.

Buying half season tickets will give you specific seats for the rest of the season.

Your mates’ situation is clearly an issue which we will not have had for many years. One, because half season ticket sales have been mostly poor for a good while. And two, this year we have particularly the Burnley game but also the Sunderland game where one off sales will have already filled lots of seats in the Blackburn End and the JW.

I would speak to the club and explain the issue. They will be able to see what seats are routinely available near you even if not for the 2 games above. They can also sort out seats for you altogether for the 2 games if that’s what you want.
