Suhail Shaikh / Pasha / The Shadow Man

Recommended Posts

I think this odius shade dwelling creature needs his own thread.

He's been the one constant in the entirety of venkys reign of complete disaster.

He helped facilitate the sale of the club to the owners and is their on the ground representative.

He has been defacto CEO since day one and absolutely nothing happens here without going through him first.

I've also heard rumours of him being a former employee of Kentaro, could anyone substantiate these claims

We need to get as much pressure on this guy as possible, he needs to be held accountable for what has happened over the last fourteen years.

He is Rovers Chief operating officer. https://www.rovers.co.uk/club/staff

There was a long and very interesting exchange in one of the supporters meetings back in 2017, where Cheston et al were challenged but struggled to be explicit about Suhail's role at the club..

." I'll confirm his exact title..I just can't remember at the moment.." You couldn't make it up.

...I think the minutes of this discussion is in BRFCS archives-# Find Pasha...I think he dubbed himself Pasha previously.... around the time people were also asking questions around his work permit-just saying lol

He was definitely a Kentaro man. His original role at Rovers was as a 'consultant' before he became 'the owner's representative' or 'conduit' as Mowbray called him. Who knows when he actually became a Venky's employee or why he seemed to be referred to as Pasha rather than Shaikh for a period of time.

His full name is Suhail Anwar Pasha Shaikh

Yes that's right. It's just odd that there was a fairly lengthy period of time when he seemed to be universally referred to as Suhail Pasha rather than Suhail Shaikh which he now seems to have reverted to. Maybe it's a Gamst / Pedersen situation who knows?

Typical behaviour of a fraud.

Anyone got anything to post that shows his Kentaro history?

I thought it was on his LinkedIn page but it seems to have been scrubbed.

More like a Windscale/Sellafield situation...

Exactly, who does really know?

From supporters consultation meeting 2017

Andy Bayes: Quick question form the floor.

Paul Keogh: I think most people in this room or most supporters at home will be pleased to hear that we’re no longer linked to SEM and Kentaro. Does that also mean that Suhail Pasha no longer works for Kentaro? Because he did previously.

Paul Senior: Well I can’t comment on what he previously did but I do know that at this moment in time he’s not employed by those organisations; he’s employed by the owners. He looks after a number of the, or has a relationship with a number of the owners’ portfolios, including this Football Club - working in other countries as well. I have not been aware of any link or relationships between a professional at that level. He’s employed by the owners, by the club.

James: What’s his real name, Mike? Obviously on Linked in, he’s called Suhail Sheikh. Every news article I read – Lancashire Evening Telegraph, even yourself referred to him as Suhail Pasha. So what’s his name: Suhail Sheikh or Pasha?

Mike Cheston: I only know him as just Suhail.

Paul Keogh: My question is to Mike. It’s regarding Suhail: you’ve just confirmed that he is employed by the club. Does he have a title for the club at all?

Mike Cheston: Yes he does have a title.

Paul Keogh: Which is…?

Mike Cheston: Errrrrr errrrrrm Something like ‘Management Consultant’. I can’t remember the exact title.

Paul Keogh: And do you not find it a little bit concerning from your point of view, Mike, that Paul has come along tonight and confirmed that he can openly pick up the phone and speak to Belaji or Venkatesh over in India? You’ve been here for how long now?

Mike Cheston: Three years.

Paul Keogh:  Three years and you still have to go through Suhail?

Mike Cheston: I don’t have to…

Paul Keogh:  Well why is he here, then? If you can open dialogue with the owners freely, why are we wasting money, under the current financial position that we’re in, and paying a Director or ‘Management Consultant’ to jet between India and England? Is that not a drain on our resources?

Mike Cheston: I’ll confirm his exact title. I just can’t remember at the moment.

The semi-emergence of this bloke from the shadows gradually over a 7-8 year period is itself odd and intriguing.

Up until the recent fans forum meeting when he turned up there had been a sustained refusal, despite various requests, for him to in any shape or form engage with supporters. No interviews, no photos, no comments, nothing. Then suddenly, after all these years, he appears at a forum. I wonder what has changed?

Way back when Gary Bowyer got the boot and Paul Lambert was employed it was clear that he was a central figure behind the scenes and responsible for much of what was going on.

After this they then had the charade of advertising for an 'owners conduit' - one of the job requirements being multi-lingual - and posted this advert on the website even though it was clear only a very small number of people could satisfy those requirements, and it seemed the man they wanted was already effectively doing the job. I suspected at the time this was work permit related.

I think it was 2019 before they confirmed his existence publicly by announcing the new 'Senior Management Team' where he was named as Suhail Shaikh and in January 2019 was announced as 'owners representative / operations and management consultant'.

Since then he has remained but we've had a myriad of titles and job descriptions up to today where he is described as 'Chief Operating Officer' on the website.

Now my interpretation of this is that he has transitioned from being an employee of the owners in India / consultant to eventually becoming an employee of the club.

Like everything else at Rovers it is just very odd, unusual and strange.

  • Upside Down changed the title to Suhail Shaikh / Pasha / The Shadow Man

Just for some context as to who and what Kentaro was...

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/8472703.kentaro-vh-groups-blackburn-rovers-bid/

https://www.weforum.org/organizations/kentaro-ag/

https://www.reuters.com/article/world/uk/swiss-authorities-say-seized-documents-from-sports-agency-in-fifa-probe-idUSKBN0OL22L/

Note that Suhail openly proclaims to have been part of the acquisition of the club by venkys, a process that Kentaro and SEM were intertwined with from the outset.

Also note that money laundering is brought up in the FIFA corruption article. Venkys now under investigation by a government agency that specialise in tackling money laundering.

Smoke.

Fire.

When Venky’s purchased the club, you would have thought that the funds would have gone from their solicitors to either BRFC’s solicitors or those of the Walker family.

Instead, and after some considerable effort and time, the payment of twenty odd million was traced to a Western Union office in some back street in Bradford. These are the places, often in off-licences and grocers type stores where you can send money abroad.

Absolutely nothing fishy about that at all.
