I couldn't believe how slow Britain. Good man, he's slow. Like he was towing a double decker bus. He's gotta be the slowest full back I think I've ever seen

Bit bizarre as he is probably the quickest we have, perhaps Beck aside. We all know this team is about as slow as can be, been the same for a number of years, crying out for some genuine pace out wide / up front.

He’s painted himself into a corner and just can’t put his hand up and say ‘yep, got that one wrong’. No, shame in it, we’ve all judged players too early, unfortunately once Rev gets an opinion in his head, that’s that.

Exactly.

I saw Tronstad at Accy pre season, and for the first number of games I thought he was way off the pace of the English game.

How wrong I was.

First name on the teamsheet for me.

Blimey, well I saw him run to the byline near the revs if the game, maybe he was taking it easy because he looked slow to me then. Maybe there was something in my pre match Guinness 😆

Brittain had trouble with their left winger (a very good player) in the first half but got a grip on him in the second half and made some good forays forward down the wing too. He's not slow - listen to fans who watch him every week.

Well no, I think it's fair comment from you and others, I've not seen them for ages. I've had to spend a lot of money trying to get my house right, and I've just fallen out of the habit. Well that plus venkys make everything feel unclean. I'm happy to stand corrected.

And yeah, it really was a bad one, no argument there. Depressing viewing

Me too. I’ll hold my hand up. I saw him at Accy and thought “ What is he for, he’s not very big or aggressive, doesn’t run with the ball, only got a short passing game etc etc “.  I’ll hold my hand up - 100% wrong,  he’s the blotting  paper soaking up the ball in danger areas.

He was the one player I fancied to put that volley away near the end. He normally strikes a good ball but he just let it get away from him slightly. Probably our best chance.

It was a poor performance, but the only goal came from a thunderbolt free kick that no keeper would have saved. The result was the right one but another day a draw could have been salvaged.

The commentator I had noted that Oxford have had a lot of injuries, but they are now all back fit and their results are showing it.

Bringing on Dolan and Hedges isn't going to change a game. I liked the look of ACD when he played a few weeks ago. He was the poorest of the bunch yesterday.

Even after such a day Rovers are still 5th as is the nature of the Championship.

Nothing has changed, Rovers need to sign a striker and inject some pace into the team.

He literally ran the long way round their FB at one point late in the second half to put a cross in (which was at the end of a long dribble too).

He's not lightning, but he's not slow either.

I have just about brought myself to watch the highlights (or lowlights in our case) and what on earth is Beck doing for the goal. He turns away from the free kick instead of standing up when he could have headed it away or at least get it in the face.

Really weak from him and his body language as the ball hits the net tells me he knew it.

You could see the deflection in real time (well, on telly, maybe not inside the ground), though I couldn't see who it came off.

Let's be honest, Pears wasn't saving it either way.

Shame the free kick was given away in the first place, very soft.

Giving the ball away in dangerous areas led to the free kick. We do it all the time.

Yes, that one is definitely on Beck, face the ball and I think he prevents the deflection and the goal.
