I dont dislike him as a person. And maybe he will suddenly start performing at a level of a top 6 side.

But a player unwanted by the worst team in the league and signed purely because he was cheap doesnt scream "we want to be top 6" to me and his performance yesterday didnt make me think otherwise. Ill judge as we go.

Why does it make a difference if I rate him or not? Give him a chance FFS isnt a constructive counter argument.

Yes we all know your feelings on Forshaw signing and you were against it. Do we need to hear it every day?

Makes no difference to me at all.

We all know you were against the Forshaw and you have already started your dislike of him already after 74 mins in a Rovers shirt. Maybe give him a chance FFS

Maybe take your blue tinted specs off for once in ur effing life

Yep, there are no patterns in any of the 3 seasons and it was nothing to do with having a squad lacking sufficient quality and depth not aided by a lack of funds in January.

And this season, with squad players like Buckley, Forshaw and Hedges all waiting in the wings and already being needed to play bigger roles, we will be fine.

Mowbray signed 5 players and had the options we switch formations 4-2-3-1 formation which he should have seen as better choice weeks before he did, I called it, you wanted to stick to false 9 that wasn't working anymore.

JDT and GB didn't find the striker we wanted. Undav was the one.

Last season, you overlooked the problems in the dressing room and the fact JDT didn't want to be here anymore. Yet we signed 6 players that window including Ayari who is now playing PL football,

Why did our form dip because we didnt sign a striker when we didnt have that striker in the first half of the season? Doesnt explain why results dipped.

ACD? not for me, tired too quickly and he is better suited to impact sub at the minute.

Im not convinced by him either. But better than Hedges.

The team were way off the pace and tired and second to nearly every ball at Oxford. It was a game we shouldn't have lost - but we did because we do not score enough goals and most of the time look totally impotent.

The formation matters little and overall the squad just isn't good enough

I'd be delighted but surprised if we get a draw out of this

Really worried about this one.

Back line picks itself with Buckley and JRC in the middle, Cantwell in front course...Then feck me not a clue about the others, none are good enough but considering Gueye and ACD are better off the bench, sadly I think we should go with the front line of the below.

Hedges Cantwell Weimann

               Dolan

Maybe rotate Dolan and Weimann. Leonard should be nowhere near the starting line up. Hopefully Dolan has his 1 in 10 good games. Gueye masterclass off the bench with ACD and hopefully we will get a reaction.

Our midfield is pretty much non-existent without Tronstad and Travis so would opt for a switch to a back three. Both Cantwell and Buckley are a liability defensively but can't see any other solution at this point.  Pears has looked shaky recently so would give Toth a chance. JRC and Hedges as covers for the wing-back positions.

                         Toth

         Hyam   Batth  Sanderson

Brittain    Cantwell    Buckley    Beck

                 Dolan      ACD

                         Gueye

Dolan and ACD to help wing-backs recover possession and be an outlet on the counter. Would rather stick them to each flank and provide crosses for Gueye than cutting inside as their decision-making in the final third is sometimes off (especially Dolan).

Our opponents will run through Buckley and Cantwell all night. There’s no pace or tackling ability in there.

Most likely, yes. But JRC doesn't offer any pace either and his vision/intelligence on the pitch is horrible. Garrett lacks match fitness and Forshaw is simply past it. We're gonna lose the midfield battle irrespective of which of these players you chose. I would probably advise to sit in a mid- to low block, try to steer opponent out to the flanks and be fast on the transition with whatever pace we can offer up front.

has some pace, but he isn't a starter for me. It's his first loan and tbh, He isn't for regular first team football but more of impact player off the bench and starting the odd game.

We always struggle against Cov and they stuffed us 3-0 when they were playing badly and we were unbeaten. With Forshaw and Buckley it will be at best the same as they never look up for a battle.

Rovers 0-3 Cov

Yep, we were unfortunate to be at the Ricoh and it was a horrible watch. They've been a hoodoo team for Rovers over the years and I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same scoreline

I know it's the nature of the fixture list and easy to be churlish with our captain and vice captain out along with the other various injuries, but it does strike me as somewhat ridiculous that we're playing three times in seven days during the coldest months of the year.

Surely they could space out these midweek-weekend blocks a bit more across the season.

Someone at the club re arranged the Pompey game for last week, also the QPR away game is also re arranged because of the FA  cup to before  the original date ...Incredible !!

In the one when you mentioned Undav. Why would not signing a striker in January cause our form to dip considering we didnt have one for the first half of the season either. Makes no sense.

Cos BBD went off form and we lack goals. Others chipped in but lack of quality striker cost us a playoff place.

Makes no sense? Really?

It's mostly the international breaks wiping out multiple weekends - and the large size of the Championship. You have to play far too many games - it really is a grind of a season.
