This is evidenced by one year not letting JDT sign anyone over the age of 15 and then signing Forshaw, Fadz, Fleck. I’m sure we were following the Brentford model a couple of years ago and then Broughton and JDT were bringing in lots of Scandinavian talent. The one consistent plan they have is to spend less money and to pull the wool over our eyes.

The team we will field at the weekend is beyond worrying and its very difficult to give us a hope of a result.

The squad is falling apart because of a lack of quality and crucially depth. We are in terrible form and our players are falling apart due to over playing leaving us with a skeleton squad. Its happened over the last 3 seasons causing a tailspin in the second half of the season and it is happening again.

There was a lack of quality on show throughout. Hedges, Buckley, Forshaw, Dolan etc all not up to standard. Gueye could still be out there now and would still not have scored.

If I was John Eustace, I’d be off too Derby in a flash if they come calling, this club is in a Venkys induced coma of nothingness and showing no signs of ambition. It’s Groundhog Day again. What is the point in Venkys owning Blackburn Rovers? Why do they do it?

We now on 14 players out injury or ill. Of course the squad has been hit with 14 injuries but my worry is the amount of muscle injuries 

You say lack of quality on show throughout, yet we were better team tonight and created some great chances..

Gueye is improving week on week, pleased for him and the work he is putting in

I wouldn't attribute Coventry had done their homework on Toth as such, I'd say they are just very good at set pieces. We've seen it at Ewood with them 2 seasons ago when they scored with the last kick of the game, they took a stream of some best corners I'd seen in a short period of play in that match.

With the current players available we are a League One team. Thank God we got a bundle of points early.

We were that poor last night, one effort on goal went for a throw in. We gave the ball away every time we got it, and the passing was league 2 standard. The only bright spark was Gueye, who was a one man show. If we can turn him into a consistent goal scorer, he would be the finished article.

For what it’s worth, I thought we did a lot of good things last night. Created some good opportunities, but when Batth missed the chance in the first half I got “Stoke City vibes”, and unfortunately I was proved right. The injury list is increasing and morale in the camp must be at an all time low. 
 

Here we are again, a third January in a row where if we showed just a little ambition and backed the manager we could have a real go for a promotion push. But unfortunately the disease that’s Venkys continue to hamper any such hope. Just FUCK OFF!!

It was that easy for Coventry last night, they turned it into a training session after they went 0-2 up. We need a proven consistent striker or two, to hit the opposition were it hurts.

We should have a Venkys out campaign for the next home game, we all stay outside the ground with banners for 10 minutes after kick off. These wa-k-rs, have ruined Blackburn Rovers football club. We need an owner whose interested in football, and prepared to put money in the pot when transfer windows open.

Travis, Tronstad, Brittain, Batth have all played game after game and the strain of having a small squad has led to these injuries. The likes of Carter, Pickering and Sigurdsson (not that we miss him) are injury prone anyway.

And as has been the case for years, hence the constant second half of the season declines, when you peel beyond our first 11 our squad players are nowhere near good enough. Forshaw, Buckley, Hedges etc. Not Championship standard. We will fall soon out of top 6 contention.

Gueye's general play was good. His finishing is very bad.

If brittain, jrc and batth are all unavailable for Saturday then I genuinely don't know what JE can do. Especially at the back as we've not got 4 fit defenders.

They've loaned o'riordan and duru (who'd be starting Saturday if he was here), they're selling mcfadzean. They're loaning garrett when I'd have him starting ahead of forshaw.

Assuming pears will be back from illness. So what's it going to be?

Could really do with batths injury being just a knock. Then sanderson can play right back. 

But that is startingly bad for a team (currently) in the top 6. It shows the real lack of investment in the side. Firstly because the front 4 you could argue have actually played the most mins in those positions this season and they aren't good enough. Then you've got the car crash signing of forshaw forced to start in cm. Then the lack of depth giving us 3 fit defenders. 

We need a signing by Saturday but won't get it. If there's a kid in the 21s who they think may have a chance of making it then they need to give them a go.

The sooner Dolan and Hedges leave the better. I’m usually concerned with our continuous ambition to downgrade under this lot, but not with those two. I’ve never seen two attacking players so inefficient at either scoring or providing goals over such a prolonged period of time. Their records, particularly Hedges, are shameful.
