Small squad in terms of quality. Obviously your squad players wont be as good as your first teamers but for most teams the gap isnt as big. Midfield is an obvious example, in Travis and Tronstad, you wont find muc better at this level. You wont find a worse partnership than Buckley and Forshaw. You could say we had a big squad last year but youd be counting Ennis, Telalovic, Garrett, Markanday etc. Its not just how many bodies you have.

Exactly what you expect from mid table championship team with transfer spend over last 3 years. 6 or 7 key players, a few of first team regulars, then squad players with different quality.

Are you 22 quality players so when you lose one key player you replace him with similar quality?.

What did you make to Hedges and Forshaw, 2 players you have defended a lot?

Defended a lot Forshaw? He only just arrived 2 weeks ago

Forshaw was ok. Nothing special but I'm not expect to be so.

Hedges provided our width from the left. Did ok.

With JRC picking up an injury and Tronstad out until March. Are you still happy just to run with Travis, Buckley and Forshaw in there?

Yes.

Do you still see us as likely to get into the top 6? And if so, do you still think we only need a left winger and striker to achieve it? Or has that number gone up?

Like I said previously our top 6 chances despond on the quality of the striker signing.

Can you remember one thing Hedges did in attack of any use?

As I have said. I am aware that squad players wont be of the same quality as first team players. I am saying that our squad players are not good enough even as squad players, when the likes of Buckley, Forshaw and Hedges come in, they are nowhere near good enough. When someone like Baker came in, he was a downgrade on Travis, thats normal otherwise he would be playing instead of him. But he was still a decent Championship player, it wasnt as if the quality fell off a cliff.

I am not saying that our squad players should be as good. But they need to be good enough as to not significantly weaken the team when they come in. If its Buckley and/or Forshaw in the team for the next 6 weeks, we are significantly weakened.

A header shot on target. Another header off target.

I remember him being really slow to react to a rebound from the keeper about 2 yards out and two of their defenders getting to it despite being in line with him.
