If Travis plays it will be in midfield surely. Makeshift right back and Travis in midfield or a makeshift right back and Forshaw in midfield?

If Travis even starts, Eustace's comments suggested he may be on the bench to start with

JE has a real conundrum on his hands for this one. Trav probably shouldn't start, so he'll have to go with Forshaw and Buckley in midfield.

He could switch to a back 3 of Sanderson-Hyam-Beck but then he's screwed for a winger back, probably Hedges on the left but no one really for the right.

Might have to give one of the younger lads a go at CB and move Sanderson to RB.

No matter what he goes with, I think we're in big trouble for this one.

3 - 0 (but could easily be 4-0)

                           Pears

   Sanderson.     Hyam.    Beck.

Dolan.      Buckley.    Forshaw.     ACD.

                         Cantwell

            Weimann.         Leonard.

I hate to say it, but I'm seeing this as a match where the only aim is to get through it without any more significant injuries. Give Trav 15/20 mins to help build him back up to fitness and then there's (almost) a full week of rehab and training for the other muscle strain lads before Preston.

Depressing that it's come to this, but that's what the clown show in charge has reduced us to at this moment in time.

Gueye has to start for me instead of Weimann. We’ll need his height defending corners with the lack of height in that team.

It’s a real head scratcher with the injuries. Fwiw, even had we signed a winger and a striker, we’d still be short.

I’d go…

                      Pears

        Sanderson Hyam. Beck

Dolan.   Forshaw.   Bucko.   Hedges

            Weimann.  Cantwell

                       Gueye

Subs - Toth, Litherland, Travis, OG Macken, ACD, Leonard

Bristol City 0 - 1 Rovers - a fighting win

Batth and JRC unlikely to travel according to JE.

I think that's the best side I've seen with the squad as decimated as it is.

Travis to play 20 mins at the end to ease him back in. ACD to give something a bit different later in the game.

It’s not just about the starting 11. What will be bench look like ? In modern football the bench and players coming off it to change the game is crucial.
