What a great night after the game. I think there were around 70-80 from the MB in Blues at one time or another. I had a great time meeting lots of new faces.

can't understand why Bob F thought i was going to be 45, with a beard and no hair  blink.gif

Well who was that I was talking to with Pringle on the back of his shirt then? He fitted that description. laugh.gif

A good night I seem to recall. Good to put many names to faces and all that - met a lot of new people and Alan75 gave me a sneak preview of the Dunn questionnaire. Marvelous stuff.

For some strange reason I recall "singing" some sort of karoke number with Tris and Gav - what the hell was all that about? I'm not eating salted peanuts ever again - mess with your mind them things.

Karaoke? Where was that at? Shame we had to leave to get to a wedding reception, it was nice to meet people I thought only existed on a keyboard.

I'll try and stay the distance next time, however saying that, by the sounds of it, i probably couldn't.

A very enjoyable night. Great to meet Tom, Den, Paul, Rev, BobF (I expected him to be younger and have more hair), that tall bloke with the glasses (who was that!?) and many others. It was a very good day - just a shame that that ridiculous football match got in the way. My headache's nearly gone now too.

Headache just doesn't cover the pain i was feeling this morning!

As Gav put it 'It feels like someone is trying to crush my head'

We (Me, T4E, Jordan, Rich and Toddy....and Toddys mate...no idea what his name was) ended up going out round Blackburn. Scotty and Manc Blue joined us until for a while and added to the top night.

In Jumping Jacks, T4E turned into the smoothest criminal in town, attracting at least 3 ladies during the night. I say attracted, 2 clamped onto his lips, 1 didn't want to know...i say didn't want to know, we scared her....isn't that right Neil laugh.gif. And when i say 3 ladies, i mean 2 ladies and 1 walking, talking, kissing, piece of horrible bacteria. We all agreed. She was a mess!

As the night drew to a close in the now wonderful Jumping Jacks, we headed back to a 'safe house' we were meant to be staying at. After banging the window of the house for about 15 minutes, me and Jordan gave up and decided to get in the car and sleep there.

5 minutes later Neil and Toddy decided to give up and get in the car as well. Now i was feeling pretty comfy and wanted to sleep, but the others were talking and decided that this wasn't the best place to sleep.

We had one more option, the floor of Gavs. Gav gladly let us into his home and allowed to stay there...i say gladly, the first thing he knew about it was in the morning when he came downstairs and saw 4 blokes in different places of his front room biggrin.gif Tris had let us in, claimed the sofa as his...then buggered off to a bedroom to sleep!

Anyway, waking up in the morning was as Gav described, like someone was trying to crush my head. Have a quick drink of water, said goodbye to Toddy who had to get away early, the same to Tris and Ginger, then decided we best go.

After getting back to the car we couldn't resist the temptation of Maccies. Then we went home.

Top night was had by all smile.gif

Cheers for the company people and I'll see you all for a couple of games next year!

Just wanted to add what a tremendous day I had not even spoiled by the football on offer. Felt worse for wear today but well worth it. Great to meet so many off the board. I won't list everyone for fear of missing someone off suffice to say that everyone I spoke to was very friendly as usual and my head this morning can confirm what a good day it was.

Bring on the pre-season friendlies.

Yep, it was a tremendous night and good to meet a few more people from the Messageboard.

Manchester Blue and myself ended up in a casino in Manchester until the wee small hours which, looking back, was probably not a great idea. And I'm afraid I haven't recovered as quickly as some of you obviously have as I still feel ill!

No. I wasn't thinking quite that tall. He was stood next to BobF for a while just after the emergency evacuation prank.

Tall balding bloke ??? Must be JPW smile.gif

No it wasn't JPW - although he fits the description. It's strange but I can't remember his name either - he reads the board but doesn't post. It's just going to be one of those things that we'll never know. Since he turned up around the time of the fire drill I'm going to refer to him as Keith Lard.

What a top weekend.

Cheers to all that made us (myself and Catharine) feel welcome on Saturday night and apologies to all that heard me and The Blunderer singing Wonderwall (and after all, your my Andy Cole). Cant remember being that drunk in a long time. Dont remember leaving the Blues Bar and dont remember spilling pie and chips all over myself either (I have been advised this is what happened anyway)

Once again cheers and shall be back at somepoint next season to do it all again thumbs-up.gif

Good to meet you, mainly rev, Tom P, T4E and Paul.

Was a tad p***ed even at the early stage of 6pm so sorry if I seemed somewhat incoherent. I blame those Kronenbourgs before the game.

See you all at some stage next season.
