    Summary

The much sought after captain of the Scottish schoolboy international side he came                                                to Ewood because Kenny Dalglish was a boyhood idol. A centre back with great  perception                                                   he formed a great partnership with Martin Taylor in the team that reached the semi-final of the                                   FAYouth Cup. With a plethora of centre backs he went on loan to Barnsley but on his return he was substitute for a League Cup and then a league game but before he could make his first  team debut he was sold to Barnsley. Unexpectedly he failed to settle at any club and migrated  to Australia where he played in the SWC Premier League. In 2006 he joined Stirling Lions and helped his club to second place in the Western Australia League and a cup final victory. Returning to the UK he started working with young players at Hearts and then in July 2013 was appointed youth team manager at Accrington. Within six months  the Accrington youth side defeated West Ham in the FA Youth Cup. He moved to a coaching appointment with Oldham Athletic which he left in October 2016.
