    Summary

Although he played with the Blackburn schools side there was never a chance that Duxbury would join the Rovers. Spotted at an early age by Manchester United he graduated through their sides, in the process picking up international honours. A steady, consistent utility defender, always able to perform the role asked he made a career out of his dependability. Unfortunately by the time he came home to Blackburn he was unable to provide any inspiration and devoid of talented players around him looked very ordinary. After a spell in Hong Kong, where he played in a league selection against England, he took over from Paul Mariner as director of football at Bolton School and later returned to Hong Kong as head of the Manchester United academy.  After two years he took up a similar appointment in Dubai but then returned to his old job at Bolton School.
