After failing to make the grade at Celtic, Caddis tried his luck south of the border and gradually established himself as an attacking right back. Capped for Scotland in 2016 he fell out of favour at Birmingham, despite being the man whose last minute goal at Bolton kept the club in the Championship, and after reporting back overweight he was then injured and this resulted in his contract being paid up. He arrived at Brockhall on trial in February 2017 after the club had failed to sign either Dimitri Cavare or Juan Carlos Parades in the transfer window . After a week’s trial he was not offered terms and saw the season out with Bury. Surprisingly he turned up with the Rovers for the first day of pre-season training and was offered terms when he had displayed a willingness to combat his increasing weight. He gained an early season place because of an injury to Nyambe and played infrequently from then on. The following season he reported for training over weight in the following season and was not cleared for playing for a month. Inevitably his contract was settled and he left.
