You obviously haven't seen us lately BB I assure you, we will be lucky if we get anybody anywhere near a corner - that's of course if we actually get one into the penalty box!! As Tris says its going to be the usual Rovers ' we are so predictable we're unpredictable' scenario but I think the Club will opt for the 2k based on the away followings this season and it coming so close after Xmas especially when I feel many will be going Notlob as well. Don't under estimate us and don't be surprised if you beat us either as our league position does actually reflect our performances at the moment

Of all teams that get relegated one of the biggest factors against them is their lack of a goalscorer. This to me is a priority - the probblem we have is can we get one? As also mentioned you also need to be able to defend and we need a leader at the back who is also commanding and can organise. Therefore IMO priority must be a striker and a CB - the other positions we have enough players capable of covering for us to ensure we are not relegated and see us through to the end of season when we can start to strenghthen these other areas if these are not possible in January. As I have said before, you are more than likely to win a game by trying to score rather than trying to and pinch a win/draw on a counter attack by playing defensive.

And this is where it falls on it arse Glenn - whilst he there people will not sing as he breaks up any rhythm that starts to get going and the awful 'get into em' is just an embarrassment And that's what most are getting at - he isn't needed and I always stop singing when he starts up.

Im amazed that people find it so surprising that we got beat. Fair enough I didn't see the Fulham game but was at Norwich and Citeh, and I didn't see anything again on Saturday to make me feel any different. I came off after seeing a very poor game played with two poor teams. Basically we got found out, and its interesting to see posters are now making the same comments I have made over the last couple of weeks re our limitations - especially re Dickov and Emerton being played on the wrong side. Very few positives can be taken from the game, but I thought Neill played well (good grief - its only taken 1 and half seasons) and Todd and Short did ok. I might stir a few people here, but if we had anybody else of any capability to fill the central midfield role I would be saying drop Ferguson as as somebody has said he has had more bad games than good and is too slow at passing - and as nobody else noticed his shouting at other players more than often when its his own fault. Not denying he is good player but he needs to start doing alot more in my book. Thought Tugay played well and was surprised he was taken off - but oh for the Tugay of old as I feel there is only him that has that creative ability of making that killer pass, and a shame that age is catching up on his little legs. Thompson as I have mentioned before will not be the saviour as everybody thinks he will be, and at leasts he shoots but he tries to do too much and overcomplicates things rather than keeping them simple. Reid and Emerton where poor considering - but see above re Emerton. On the attacking aspect we look absolutely clueless, and its only because we have played some poor teams recently this has not been commented upon. I juts hope that the 3 teams that people seem to think are going to be below us are knocking about (poss Norwich) because at the moment I just can't see it and will say again that I hope January is not too late in coming. Will be an interesting next copuple of weeks - and the arrival of the FA Cup game could just go to being a preview to the type of games we will be playing next season.

I can't understand this argument, Sellars had the same facilities available as everyone else at that time and never proved himself to be world class whereas Duff has. They were both operating an equal level to other players around at the time so I can't understand how it would make a difference which generation Sellars played in. It's all relative, this argument is nothing like the Forrest v Sherwood one because Forrest clearly was one of the best players around at that time whereas Sellars wasn't. Not quite Le Chuck - they where operating in different Enviroments - ie Sellars played all his with the Rovers on the Old Division 2, whereas Duff came to the fold in the Premiership where a better standard of Football is played. As they say the field is a great leveller, and Sellars surely showed his worth at the time and was certainly the best left sided I can remember - as has been said he was on the verge of making into the England squad but due to a cruel twist of fate the chance went. The Producer also says the defenders are fitter nowadays - but then again isn't everybody - also consider the aspect of challenges being alot more physical in the good old days. The only thing against this to me which is quite nagging (thought about this also when he was playing) is why nobody came in for him earlier. As I said to MB I will find it hard to make a decision between the two- but given the chance Sellars might have been able to go on to prove his credentials. I know you can't go off what might have been but you can't just dismiss him either on a whim because the opportunity didn't arise. Remember - it was only the Rovers fans that where cooing about Duff before the World Cup. Being at Rovers in the eighties wasn't as glamorous as it has been for the last 10 years or publicised as much - which does play a part in certain aspects. Something I heard on the radio last night which I found quite interesting - a caller mentioned about a poll from a Manchester summat or other that have just done their own 'Best Ever' combined Manchester team and surprisingly George Best didn't even get in it but Scholes did.

Fair do's but they both had natural talent, and given the facilities and training regimes of today's game who is to say that Sellars would not have made it to a 'higher' level and proved to be world class I can see your point but questions could be asked of whether Duff could have shown his class in similar fashion to Sellars on the quagmires that we saw in the past, so you can't just disregard Sellars on that matter. Duff has world class and will probably get better, Sellars certainly had class but unfortunately the opportunity to me never arrrived for him to fulfill it to its potential.

If you believe that then you miss the point of just ho good Duf really is. It has little to do with facilities, fitness regimes etc it's god given talent and Duff has it by the sackful. Sellars was one of my favourite players when I first started coming to Ewood but that can't hide the fact that Duff is just just a class above. As the old guy who used to sit next to me used to say about him, 'Barcelona'. He meant he was too good to be playing at Blackburn, as much as it used to annoy me, deep down I knew it was true. A bit contradictory there in your point MB - Sellars didn't exactly have the training facilities/nutritionists/better playing surfaces that the graceful Duff certainly has nowadays so I would say that they where probably of the same cloth - both of natural talent. I'm with Paul and find it very difficult to decide on this as my memory does not serve me well on Waggy, and Brotherston as good as he was not quite at the level of the Duff and Sellars - and was still more of a right sided player than a left one to me. Anyway certainly good posts from Scotty and Brownie and would appreciate anbody's reflection for Waggy and Harrison.

Question is though - when there is tier pricing like this - which tickets do those on the away ticket scheme get??

No we can't blame the guy ( Billy?) for trying but we need to let him no its an embarrassment and he would be better off using his time to play it a Girls Aloud concert where it just might blend in a bit better

I'm glad somebody has pointed this out. Something I pointed out after the Brum game and my analysis of Dickov. Interesting the varying viewpoints that are being commented upon, similar much to what alot where saying early season when we did have Ward and then got relegated. I still feel once everybody is fit/back Dickov would be more effective coming off the bench, as what is quite obvious is that we need to score goals and he does not exactly fill me with optimism to this. His effort and determination is superb and there is no doubt about his commitment to the fold but we are in a precarious position and a win against a Fulham side that from all accounts was very very poor including from their own manager does nothing to change my opinion considering we didn't put them to the sword and missed chance after chance which is not unusual - note ** - don't take your chances and you get punished. Anyway a wins a win and and shoved history in its place for the end of drawing sequences and it makes good reading from the people who went to the game - so I 'm happy to let Hughes go about his ways for the time being as it looks like he knows what he wants to do.

Agree Scotty and I don't feel anybody is arguing this - just the way it has all snowballed. Wrong - lazy arse was the main witness as American put it and the one that brought the complaint so he was involved initially if not in control after that. As I said before, the circus on this has gone with him being black rather than the scope of racism which is not good for anybody at the end of the day which is sad really. - my meaning of this is people's understanding what racism really is about - and is ironic really because with the right application at the end of the day lazy arse could have probably made a name for himself at Blackburn.

No Scotty- but there are ways of going about resolving the issue. I just have a feeling this incident might have just opened 'pandora's box' (good and bad). Re-read my post above and the previous - maybe I haven't made it clear - but as other people have said - either he is totally ignorant (how?) of the feelings towards him from the Blackburn fans or his deaf or just plain stupid common sense should prevail to make them think about what they are doing - can't disagree on him warming up in fronmt of the BB End but did he need to go right to the corner flag and smile towards the Rovers fans for what appeared an eternity more than the couple of so minutes that normally happens when players warm up? Well Salostar I am bothered if they are convicted wrongly and consider it very worrying for other fans if there is no evidence to suggest racial intent. There could be incriminating circumstance for any fan going to future matches and I would hate to see what people interpret me jumping up and down waving my hands about as ( especially with my blue and white armbands on Oh look I'm typing in black - will this be the next issue as this is what the whole issue appears to have turned into IMO. Bit of a joke really - where was all this hullaballo when Tugay got far more abuse at Leeds last season and there is only a small incident of a Turkish fan being stabbed to death at the weekend.

There where Police and Stewards around the incident and within earshot and nothing has come from either source with regard to there being any racial motivated offence - the Police even threw one of the lads out so they couldn't have thought anything of it. As usual people are jumping to conclusions from a minor incident totally blown out of all proportion by a over- hyped media and a prick called Steve Bruce. Even Brum fans who where at the match and have seen the incident since on the TV have said they have seen nothing of racial quantity and if the sight of somebosy shaking there hands like a demented chicken on speed then god help the rest of the Football fans in this country - in fact they they have agreed with what the majority of Rovers fans in that he is a good for nothing lazy barsteward and a useless dad.
