Dont have the stats and am to lazy to check, but I dont recall us having many 0-0's since TM arrived. Hope you are wrong

I think if we had any interst at all in Gallagher, then we can move on that now they have Ings. I'd love to see chapman on loan with a fee agreed and the option to buy in Jan if he proves himself

Transfer Window - Success or Failure
FGS5635 replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Ah fair enough. In all the mayhem yesterday Im sure it got reported the other way initially. I stand corrected -
Thats the thing really, for all the fans moaning, I imagine nobody is more frustrated than mowbray that we got nobody

What time is TM's presser today? I guess the waters should be a bit less murky after that in terms of what we know

Transfer Window - Success or Failure

Looking back on some of the crazy deals, I wouldnt mind rochina back in this side. I noticed he still tweets about rovers from time to time. Wonder what he is up to these days -
Transfer Window - Success or Failure

If what we are led to believe is true, then the tactic nearly worked. We nearly bagged Bereton for under his market value. The bid was accepted, the player refused as the bid apparently caught him off guard. Maybe that deal goes in again once he has time to sleep on it -
Transfer Window - Success or Failure

A lot of transfrers are a snowball effect. Maybe we wanted Gallagher but southampton wouldnt let him go until they got someone in. The Ings deal was so late in the window we didnt get gallagher. Now maybe we do and then off the back of that Nutall goes out on loan from us. It sometimes takes just one move for 3 or 4 to then happen. Prem clubs have so much cash they are in no rush, then can have to many players after the deadline while they re-asses for a week or two and then ship loans out to balance things out -
Must win, 43 games to save our club Jokes aside, will be a good test against a team that did well in this league last year. WIll probably give us a better yardstick of where we are at than the Ipswhich game

There are things we know, things we think we know and a whole lot we dont know Going off what we know and what we think we know it seems like we had a 2 point plan to this window. 1 - Try and pick up some of our cheaper targets early ie Bauer etc. Seems the selling clubs held firm and we werent prepared to overpay on our valutation. No problem with that really, its better not to blow the cash when we aint flush 2 - Part 2 is where the plan came unstuck. Seems we had a plan to make some late bids for good players and try and get some good deals from teams under pressure late to generate some funds. If it comes off you look great and bag some top talent under its market value. The flip side is what we have, when for whatever reasons the risk fails and you end up looking a tad silly. Its fine margins like most things in football these days between success and failure. Its probably the 1st window in a long long time that TM has had some decent money. As with all things in life, you learn your lessons, move on and try and improve next time and Im sure TM will. I do think due to the landscape of the window changing this year, this second period under the loan window is going to be very productive.

I think this 1st deadline is where in general you sign players others arent keen on selling. You pay a premium to get it done and most clubs find it hard The 2nd deadline is where the bigger teams know where they stand and you are signing players other teams want out. I expect EFL teams to be way more busy in this 2nd window. Us included in that

What a crazy anticlimactic stat
-
Apparently brighton are loaning him back to wigan. Bizzare deal
-
lol its a see saw of emotions on here today. Cancel meltdown, everyone can go nuts again
-
No room for common sense around here
-
Who knows. Maybe he leaks it just so he can look good by saying we aint selling. Its a murky world around deadline day. Strnage how nothing has really leaked from rovers all window and then the day before the dealine there are supposed leaks galore
-
Just becasue the stories surfaced yesterday, doesnt mean we only placed a bid yesterday. We could have been bidding for week and its been leaked by QPR yesterday to put pressure on rovers
-
TBF we are all just concentrating on incomings. There is a good chance a few go out if some of these moves come off
-
Seems like TM is going mental covering all bases at the last min and bidding off the A, B, C and D list ???
-
The trouble we have regarding a striker, is that unless we pull a major rabbitt out of the hat whoever we sign knows they will be coming as backup/cover to DG. Its a hard sell that to anyone who is decent.

Left footed attacking midfielder. Fits the bill
-
I thought the free agent thing on Jan 1st only applied to transfers abroad
-
Agreed. This window tomorrow means absolutley nothing as you can still make perma singings until August 31st
-
Maybe explains why everyone isnt panicking with this thursday deadline, as they can just do loans with agreed purchases. In reality this 1st window doesnt really mean much then, as all options are still possible it seems
