I cant imagine that is allowed after the deadline, as in essence that is a permanent signing
-
Everyone must be circumventing FFP. It cant be to hard. What stops venkys for example paying a player 10k a week and staying under FFP with rovers. Then paying them 10k a week from venkys india under the title of marketing etc. Must be so easy to pay players extra from other accounts

Harsh, but very true
-
Dont they all one way or another Sorry thats sexist, I take that back. She looks a lovely girl
-
If she is coming it wont be free

Shut your trap ?

Alot of our players are similar. What we need now is something different. Different to either come off the bench or to do something different if circumstances dictate it. Chapman is very diffdrent to anything we have and ticks the boxes of what we need imo
-
Well boro are 3up, if he gets no mins in the 2nd half now, then he has to know his chances are slim. Especially if bollassi signs He may not have started many at rovers, but he came off the bench and played every game
-
Sod it, we sign bollasi and they keep chapman ?
-
Well chapman is on the bench for boro again tonight ?
-
You would presume its not the A list if it is surfacing this late
-
Boro play tonight. If chapman is not on the bench, then that will be a good sign he is off on deadline day
-
Apart form 3-4 players, everyone in this team can be improved for a relativley small outlay. Yeah we have more pressing needs than others, but if you see a good deal in another position then you make a move imo
-
But that shouldnt make a difference to ffp. Or am i missing something?
-
Did villa not roll the dice and spend huge last year. How can they do it again
-
Yeah being knee capped by balaj for picking villa
-
Of course it is, but we cant compete in the talent stakes with teams with premier league players. We cant compete with teams with parachute money. We cant compete with teams spending 30-40 million. The playing field isnt level and my point was we will need to excel in other areas to bridge the gap if we hope to do well.
-
We wont have success in this league if its a talent contest. We will need to excel in other areas like team spirit and unity. We cant risk anyone that risks upsetting the team spirit this squad has.
-
Everyone has been banging heads on transfers for weeks and refusing to blink. Appears newcastle have blinked 1st to raise funds and we may get arma on our terms. Imagine all the transfres will follow similar one way or another early next week. Its gunna hot up fast now ?
-
I feel armstrong can be even better this season. We were the big fish last year and most teams sat deep against us. You can be sure we wont ge that respect this year, we will spend a lot more time deeper ourselves and defending. Thats where his pace can be used a lot more on the break this season. Wasnt always any space for him to use last year

If TM sits there and says they are my 2 main targets. I really hope we get it done becasue I love these players, then the price probably doubles. This is TM engaging his best poker face, before going all in and taking the pot ?
-
I think in the modern game most want new players to improve the team. But I also think with a young squad like we have we can certainly get some good improvement from within. TM has said plenty times how he likes to coach and improve players. Bar a couple of the older players, most of the squad has room to improve and kick on. Sprinkle in the likes of Travis who could come in and basically be a new singining if he steps up and things can look very different sometimes.
-
As is the case with smaller squads, we have 3 or 4 key players and our season will be defined by how fit they stay all season. If Dack, Graham and Leinihan stay fit and dont miss much time this season then we will be ok If any of them miss significant time, especially Dack, then we will be in a relegation fight
-
Just Palmer ?

Everything is smoke and mirrors at this time of the season and clubs will use local press to their advantage in negotiations. The telegraph will be fed what the club want them to be fed
