  1. That's all well and good Philip, but one thing to ask, would you forgive the super agent, who went on Sky Sports, accused us fans of being racist and also accused us of hounding his son out of the club? He broke down in tears when conducting that interview, we were that bad, according to him. Venky's sat back and let this happen and have never gone on record to explain, exactly what happened for them to get embroiled in all this and why they have never taken anyone to task over it. They have been taken for £300 million and still counting, yet they sit back and do sod all about it. WHY? I know you mention this in your post, but are you satisfied that we are fully rid and that there is not someone lurking around in the shadows still. For what is is worth, I am convinced that is the case.
  2. A little look at what Chelsea have spent and their league position tells you how right that is.
  3. It used to disappear after about 6 pints. I think someone was putting something in the beer that affected my eyes.
  4. The one and only Balaji, who allegedly had some serious issues with regards to torturing his employees. It was probably nothing though and he might have just had a bit more bad advice. 5. Whatever happens on Saturday, this trip down memory lane with PP and Toffs etc, has brought memories flooding back of yesteryear in Blackburn town centre. My Saturday night out round these places, were usually after a 90 minute run around the Pleasington football pitches, or Griffin, or even mill hill St Peters. I can still feel those first 3 or 4 pints, hitting the sweet spot. Wonderful days and even better when the combination matches didn't clash and I could go and watch my heroes in the famous blue and white halves. COYB
  6. Until someone shows me otherwise, I will never deviate from this being one big con job, that has backfired. We all know there were people involved at the very beginning, who were effectively running the club. Signing players who were only good enough to carry Christmas hampers, or who came and went without ever making an appearance, was the order of the day. Likewise with the first manager appointed, who as we all know had very close links with these people. Even the appointment of Coyle seemed to lead back to that very stable and how knows, who is still lurking in the corridors. It has proved to be a very expensive mistake, but again is all of the money being put in, actually being put in by the owners, or by a third party? In addition to that, if the brown envelope story, paid to the player liaison office is true and the same paid to Givet's tailor is true, then who knows what comes back out again, to people of this ilk.
  7. He was the chairman when I first started watching Rovers. I didn't have a clue at that tender age, what went on in a boardroom, or even what a chairman was. I simply recall reading the programmes from back to front and seeing his name. Chairman WH Bancroft was etched in my mind from back then, in the early seventies. RIP Mr Bancroft.
  8. The other big one for us this weekend is the Friday night match Boro V Norwich. If Boro turn them over, it puts us firmly in the driving sit if you were looking at them being the main rivals. Currently they are ahead of us in the betting, as are Millwall, but come Sunday morning, the picture could have changed dramatically. We have an exciting weekend ahead.
  9. I would honestly suggest that any Burnley fans turning up without a ticket, should be banned from their ground. Its bad enough hearing what happened at the Blackpool game, so hopefully they will stay at home, watch it on TV and enjoy it that way. No violence, or injury or worse should be tolerated, full stop.
  10. is the answer to question 3, throw a bucket of water over her?
  11. Assuming Luton do get there, this season or in the future, a country could well come in and buy them. Multi- Billionaire owners will then have a cartel and the gap between the top and bottom half will be HUGE. Write off at least half of your games as big defeats, if you are a team that makes it to the premier league through the play offs, without any parachute funds.
  12. Bookies have Boro and Luton as already in the play offs and no odds showing. Of the the rest, these are the odds. Millwall 8/13 Rovers 10/11 PNE 9/2 Norwich 5/1 WBA 5/1 Coventry 15/2 Sunderland 11/1 Watford 40/1
  13. If I didn’t know any better, I would have blamed that on Rovers current admin team. Greg and his motley crew of administration, could have been involved surely?
  14. With Millwall to play Preston next week at their ground and Rovers still to play them both, this is still very firmly in our hands. Norwich have a tough one on Friday night too, so todays result was not as bad as it could have been, especially after the first half. We have to do the business in the next two home games and we are stull in the driving seat, if we do.
  15. They are away at Millwall next Saturday and that is big too. we could still be in the top 6 tonight and by next Saturday night too.
  16. PNE have just gone one up. The game at their place could be a big one. Hope we take the expected big following and turn them over.
  17. Next weekends fixtures are very interesting. Norwich go to Boro on Friday night and Preston travel to Millwall. By the time we play, we will know the outcome of these games, so it could be another very big weekend.
  18. We could well have the added incentive of a win putting us back in the top 6. With 5 games to go for us and 4 for some of our rivals, I would settle for that all day long.
  19. I think we can get something from all of those games and would happily take us going into the last game still having our destiny in our own hands. We do tend to take points when we are not expected to and vice versa. I think we will beat Hull and Coventry at home (opposite to what I have just said I know) but also think we will win PNE at their place. That would leave us in with a chance V Millwall in the last game, even if we lose the derby and draw against Luton. I still think we are in with a decent shout.
  20. We do seem to perform better when the expectations are lower. I have a felling we may well do better than people think in the remaining games that appear the toughest. We need a win on Saturday to set us up, but can get something from each of the final 4 in my opinion. Coventry may be a tough one, but beating them will put them out of it.
