The Italian lad who scored their goal looked a good player. It was mentioned on Rovers TV that he was on loan from Chelsea and you can see he has star quality. I think we have a real gem in Wharton and I am looking forward to him coming back into the team. I had a chat with Scott a whole ago and he said at the time, he did not consider himself the best footballer in his family. I also spoke to a youth team coach about him and he said how good a prospect he was. For those who have watched him in the youth teams, I am sure you know better than I do, as I have only seen his appearances, in the first team, but I genuinely believe from what I have seen, that he is the real deal.

Relegation looms

When I looked at the recent predictions thread for the remaining games, I could not bring myself to do it. Although we have been on a decent unbeaten run, we were always capable of returning to type and that's exactly what we did last night. My hope now is that we do not do that in the "six pointers" as we do have some crucial games in the next ten, with Coventry at home, Luton at home and Millwall away, all being crucial games. I do believe we can make the top six and can still afford the odd slip up, but please do not do it too often lads.

Lots of optimism built up over the last few weeks, disappeared in 45 minutes there. Too many not doing their jobs. Defence looks nervy and Pears not so assured. It is definitely true. Simply played the home game there and the away fixture at Ewood. It reminds me of something else too. We drew Millwall away in the FA cup and due to some hooliganism, they had been banned from staging FA cup games, at home. With it being their home fixture, they played in blue and we payed in our changed strip. It is the only time I remember us not wearing the blue and white halves at Ewood. Does anyone else recall that?
