It’s certainly very subtle.

Por el amor de dios = For the love of God, so not quite as strong as for fuck sake. The word chupacables, works better. The literal translation of that is cable sucker, but is a Spanish insult and as I’m sure people can imagine, the insinuation is strong.

Apoya al equipo chupacables.

I watched The Who game on Rovers TV. I have to admit, I logged on with a bit of a heavy heart and expected a bit ofa mauling. First half I thought we played well and for me, defending from the front was good to see, especially with Dolan, putting the work in he did and making sure the Watford back line knew he was there. The goal was well worth cheering and the way Dack kept he head, to do what he did was delightful. Second half was a different tale and although Watford were wasteful, our backline held out well. Once the equalizer went in, the dreaded feeling came back and I will as grateful to finish with a point, in the end. My man of the match was Carter. If the plan is the improve players and sell them on, then potentially he is one who would fit the bill right now. Hopefully that’s not the plan though and we start to move forward again soon. Im looking forward to getting Adam Wharton back and if we stay injury free and create a bit more, we might still sneak into the top six.

Watford: Transfer ins and outs - January 2023 - Sports Mole

The eight new signings could make a difference though.

Imagine if you apply that to City. Do they go back all them years and adjust all their results and promote and relegate teams, based on City losing all their games, due to them cheating? This is a hell of a mess and it will be interesting to see the outcome, come what may. Common sense needs to prevail somehow, but who knows how.

If they were worried about being sued by other clubs, surely they would have just kept quiet if this was something minor. I can't imagine for one minute, they would bring it out into the open, unless it was something major. Imagine if we found out that two of Wigan's signings who played on Monday has not been properly completed and could then claim two extra points. The game is going to be played out in the courts, if we aren't careful not on the pitch, with the way this week and last week have gone.

According to some posts on Twitter, it is being checked and double checked. Certain people are suggesting that's a sign it could be good news, but I am not too sure.

Does anyone know if Adam Wharton is likely to feature? I hear he is injures, but there seems to be no mention anywhere of how he is progressing.

Granted I was a kid at the time and sadly never made it as a paid player, but I remember the the fierce rivalry between the primary school I went to and the once closest to us. It made it worse, as we were the RC and the were C of E. We never had a pitch at our primary school and they did and they saw us as the soppy Catholic kids. When it came to playing them on their own pitch twice, I was literally dragged off the pitch at the end, with my shorts and shirt almost hanging off and blood on my face on both occasions As skipper, I made pretty fucking sure all my team mated knew exactly what it meant turning them over and a 1-0 and 2-0 victory in those two game never felt sweeter in my life. I would love to think we will have a couple of our players feeling the same way come the return fixture at Ewood and hope for that reason the Wharton brothers both start the game. So long as we see all the lads run through the proverbial brick wall next time, I would begrudgingly accept a defeat, but they better try this time and make sure limbs are sore and they are battle scarred, come what may.

The old narrative we can only affect the future not the past and we will learn from our mistakes will be rolled out. Of course for 12 years now, the mistakes have continued, so much so that I can only come to the conclusion, they are either deliberate, or are caused by the care free way the owners behave, but hey ho, I am just a fan of 51 years standing, what would I know?

As JDT said in last nights post match interview, Watford have made 8 new signings in the window. They are above us in the league and with the new signings and healthy competition for places, they will blow us away. At lease a two goal margin and probably more and I see us failing to notch again. 2-0 or 3-0 for me this one.

People tend to forget that the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle were down to much lower crowds than then get these days too. Sub 10,000 even for them, was not unheard of, back in the day.

I am abroad so can't go, but paid the £140 to get all the games on Rovers TV that are not on Sky etc. Although I watched it, I enjoyed happy valley the night before a lot more. For me to say that is also a sign that the club are sinking. I am half tempted to go out somewhere on Saturday afternoon, instead of suffering yet another display like this.

I think we all know what's coming.

If anything, this could simply lead to a break away super league. No need to follow the premier league rules then and it just let's the filthy rich backers so what they want. I would never watch it and I am slowly but surely falling out of love with the game anyway.

I will whisper this, but that drubbing, was from the team, who won the league at a canter, With the way we look at the minute, be afraid, be very afraid. I am dreading that game now and hope like hell, either their form takes a dramatic turn for the worst, or ours improves, even more dramatically

A very disgruntled man there, giving that interview. He mentioned Watford signing 8 players and Wigan 6 as well as us signing 1 and 2 leaving. He also had a dig at the O’Brien signing, pointing out that he is a midfielder and we need strikers. He won’t be here next season, I’m sure of that and must have now realized he is working with a bunch of amateurs.

Well, what a load of plop that was.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but it is pretty damning. BRFC.pdf

I actually think with all the money at the top end of the premier league and also what is going on with the like of the breaking City story today, getting promotion, is probably no longer the answer the the problems, we have and lots of other clubs have too. We are currently looking at our great rivals with envy, but when the go up, to be able to compete, they will need to spend an absolute fortune and doing that, potentially leads to the situation, you have described above, or even worse. Bolton and Derby nearly ceased to exist. I remember having a conversation with a former work colleague and Burnley fan, when they have loads of cash in the bank, but along came a buyer, did what they did and immediately plunged them into debt. Granted what they have done this year, means they will enjoy ( or endure ) the riches of the prem again next year, but had this season not gone as well as it has, would they also now have been staring into the abys?

Has anyone seen the takeover fiasco at Morecambe? I read it over night on Twitter, so will try to post it on here. Some similar happenings to VH taking over Rovers, but maybe a bit more suspicion about the money going in with the weekly washing.
