  1. Brace yourself, he sounds good and is certainly suited for our style of play. Iron a few creases out and he will probably be perfect. I like the fact that he is tailor made too and playing for us, puts him firmly in the shop window.
  2. I see what you did there. Oven ready and we are owned by Chicken farmers.
  3. Someone has mentioned that they think the likes of Waggott and Rao read these pages. Just in case they don't can anyone who has access to either one of those people or preferably both of them, print every page of this topic and make sure they do read them. Some real heartfelt posts on here and shows what the club did mean to people, before they (more Rao than Waggott) got their filthy hands on it.
  4. I am very tempted to take the current odds of 16/5 on Bristol City beating us by more than one. Not because I want it to happen, but, given that they scored 4 at home last week and given that we have conceded 4 in 3 different matches (2 at home) in the last 6 matches, I see us getting a hammering yet again. If my £50 gives me a £160 profit to take me and the Mrs out on Saturday, to dull the pain, maybe the weekend won't be fully ruined for a change.
  5. I was there too, as a wet behind the ears nine year old. It still remains the best game I have ever seen, live or on TV. Maybe not for the skill level, but for the joy and excitement and the passion shown by the players, wearing the blue and white shirts with pride. If we had just one person at the club these days with that sort of passion and commitment, we might stand a chance, but sadly, we don’t.
  6. Well said and is almost exactly how I feel too. I almost feel guilt for introducing my 8 year old grandson to it. He goes to school in Preston and tells his mates Blackburn Rovers are the best!!!
  7. Whatever you do, if you receive a free ticket from the club, inviting you to a party at the brewery, shred it and pop it in the bin.
  8. He certainly seems to have taken a few in, but thankfully most still see through it. The best one was how good selling the training center would be, but there have been plenty more.
  9. The only time they have shown any haste in getting rid of a manager, was when they appointed one, who managed to take us within striking distance of the third tier. Granted he did last less than a year, but after that, a streak of games with no win and a plummet down the league, seems to cement the manager place, rather than lead to a termination of his contract.
  10. Bob along nicely in the second tier. Wash whatever cash we can and that should keep us all nicely for a decade or two. If it ever looks like we are looking too good on the pitch, give a few players away for nothing and we will soon reverse that trend. Not lets have a sift through the people who can make that happen, for the top to the bottom. Get them in, keep them there for 5 years or so and then move onto the next batch. Cushty.
  11. It’s not Rovers related, but two years ago, would anyone have taken this as anything like plausible? https://shewore.com/2022/03/04/chelsea-ownership-was-always-a-money-laundering-project-for-abramovich/
  12. What we all must NEVER forget is people like Waggott have all been appointed by Venky’s. When you look at the first set of people plonked into these positions, including their first manager, it is very clear that the badly advised narrative is not one that fans in the know will swallow. I think almost everyone on here knows most of what has gone on, so the painful days like Saturday, just continue. The only real change is the people who are tasked with fronting it all.
  13. Is it a case of him seeing though his bullshit this time around. I have never met him and never will, bill do not get the impression we gave anyone but a wage thief at the club.
  14. I just watched the results and saw Preston lost 4-0 at home. I thought that’s a tonking, but it might not be if they played well.
  15. It’s not a normal club or ownership, so today does not matter, so far as the owners and the manager are concerned. No other club in the entire pyramid would allow a 16 game winless run and not say a peep to its loyal fans. Two or 3 more heavy defeats in the next 3 gam a won’t matter either. Project Rovers, is a very strange concept, even to those who would run through a brick wall for the club.
  16. Being a Blackburn Rovers supporter became a chore when Venky’s turned up. I bother, as they are a habit of a lifetime, but it’s no longer enjoyable or good for me. Venky’s have torn the heart and soul from the club and done the same to a large number of supporters too.
  17. I certainly watch in the hope that we win and not in the hope that the performance of our players increase their value. When we lose I’m pretty down about it and the opposite when we win. I would hate to think that the players and management have other ideas other than winning matches that inevitably leads to success if we win enough.
  18. It is probably a good job that the players don't actually say what they really think, most of the time. It could put the fans who genuinely love their club, clean off them immediately.
  19. The file might be a bit large. Try splitting into two different videos.
  20. I think the same will apply this season, as applied last. Yes, we are exceeding expectations just now, but to drop to 8th or 9th is bound to been seen as unsuccessful now, as we will have thrown away a big opportunity.
  21. It is very promising that we are seeing the youngsters being tied down. I have to admit that I honestly thought Phillips would have gone, so it is a bonus to see him sign, especially when we seem him perform like he did yesterday. Like most people on here, I simply want to see the club prosper and sincerely hope we have started to turn the corner with the contracts.
