Imagine that. We appoint a new manager and head of recruitment, but still have the same old problem of decision makers not being available to ensure they succeed. Why on earth do we bother?

Only in the world of Venkys would we appoint the likes of Broughton, who seems to have an affliction to talking in the media and to players agents. Hope he doesn’t tell us he works for nothing next and sleeps at the training ground. If we sign his son, I am ruining for the hills.

Surely we don’t need to really be worrying about this. Granted we have been bullied in two away games, but 100% récord at home and think that will continue on Saturday.

The big worry for me on this is the wear on the pitch. Are all games to be staged at Ewood? Call me a traditionalist, but I cannot get excited at womens football.

The problem is we are chatting her up at 1.50am just before the night club closes and we have both had a skin full. We then both wake up in the morning and wonder what we have done. I have never been to bed with an ugly woman, but I’ve woke up with a few!!!!

A week is a long time in football and that cliche has reared its ugly head this week. From the euphoria of the WBA win and sitting pretty to two total none performances and heavy defeats. We have been the hallmark of death spirals for the last couple of years, so the midweek cup match and home league match next week, are going to be crucial. I think JDT may well be out of his honeymoon period if we don’t reverse this in the next two games, so here is hoping we can.

I hate to be a pessimist, but can’t see us getting anything from this. Hope I’m wrong, but see at least a 2 goal defeat.

Hedges being dropped is due to him demanding a pay rise. Apparently we don’t have a hedge fund.

I don’t know of any other club, producing the quality and quantity we are.

If we have 3 or 4 chasing him and it starts a bidding war, that will hopefully bump up the price. if we have to lose him, then hopefully it means we have funds to strengthen elsewhere and we become more balanced and perhaps even find another diamond.

There is a steady stream of young players from other areas being brought into the academy and long may that continue. Although it is disappointing to lose the likes of Nyambe and Lenihan, I enjoy a player making it through the ranks and into the first team. Seeing Buckley, Wharton, Philips and Travis, who have all played league games this season, I become more proud of the team, than seeing signings from elsewhere. Bringing players in from Manchester as is the case with Philips, just shows how good the academy is and one to be very proud of. Others seem to be on the threshold too, so long may it continue. Like anyone else, I would be gutted to see Phillips go, without getting the chance to see him start in the first team for a couple of seasons, so keep my fingers crossed that we find a way to keep him.

Deep down, I think we all know this is happening. Shame really, but money will be the deciding factor, simple as that.

The nerves are frayed right now, but wow just brilliant that. Phillips superb, as was Buckley and both goals were quality. The little triangles we have started in every area of the pitch, are so good on the eye. Its so satisfying to see us sat at the top on maximum points, even at this early stage. Today was a big test and we stood up to it. With two away games to come, especially with Saturdays opponents, if we are still top after that, it will be game well and truly on.

Hope I’m not tempting fate, but Phillips has looked very comfortable so far.

That’s got to be a sham, poo poo it if you like though. If she is in good conditioner not is more important, as a big hairy center half called Dan druff her up if not.
