  1. This sort of thing really sickens me. If he is as good as he appears to be and we lose him before he has even made a competitive start for us and we get peanuts, then what's it all about?
  2. A few have been saying Adam Wharton will be a good player. At 18 if he is already showing signs then it’s an exciting time for him and the fans. Two brothers who are local lads in the side, would be wonderful.
  3. Daughter in law works there, so myself my son and grandson, are all getting a reduce price shirt. Seems pretty ethical to me.
  4. Not that the new boss is anything like him, but I do remember the odious Coyle, using the excuse that we hadn't made our signings until late in the window, so wanted to be judged a few games in and after a poor start. I know it isn't easy, but if we do have money to spend and are targeting certain positions, it needs to start happening now.
  5. I was at the beam back at Ewood with my son and we were both amazed that spot kick was not given. We watched it back on Match of the day on Saturday night and Alan Hansen said, " I feel sorry for the manager, the players and all the supporters, as you will never see a clearer penalty in your life". Even taking into account my blue & White bias, in over 50 years of watching football, it was and still remains the most blatant penalty shout, that was turned down, that I have ever seen.
  6. I was told when we signed him, by someone inside the game, that we would disrupt the dressing room, big time.
  7. There is a chance I would say. He must be worried, if no one has come in for him.
  8. It’s about time something better was rolled out. Not too sure if this has been suggested already, but was about offering a 25% discount for next season for all those who buy/ have bought one this season and maybe 15% if you buy a half season ticket.
  9. I backed him to score 20 league goals and although I didn't put much on, that's because I am a cautious gambler. The odds being offered were ridiculous and if you consider the old cliche, the bookies rarely get it wrong, there were not too may people who thought he was a good striker, until last season. personally I do think we should sell him now, so long as big money is brought in and the bulk of it is used to bring in the quality we need this season.
  10. I once got a lift home from a sportsman’s dinner from Frank Worthington. The conversation was almost all about football. When I told Frank I am a Rovers fan, he said keep your eye on young Damian Duff. He will go to the very top.
  11. Usually, but you never know, especially given hoe we paid Newcastle a slice. Maybe if sold within a certain timeframe or above a certain figure, but hopefully we get something.
  12. The league cup semi- final at Old Trafford, was the best I saw him play. Based on that performance, I thought we had a wonder kid, but sadly, it didn't work out for him.
  13. Game by game for me I guess, due to the season pass not meaning you get all of the games. Throw in the fact that I will get back to the UK for the odd game too and that's the only way I think. Hoping to get back for the first away game at Swansea and make it a family affair, with my son, brother and Grandson, all hoping to go. Hope the allocation is decent, which I think may well be the case.
  14. Daughter in law works there, I wonder if it extends to family?
  15. I went to the first round tie away in Sofia and was therefore guaranteed a ticket, but only found that out, after they were sold out. Luckily one of the players found out and gave me and my mate his complimentary tickets. Great night up there and we were unlucky to lose. second leg was a comedown though.
  16. I would be moving heaven and earth to get the on line portal working. There is no excuse for the mess that is and would not take much money to hire a proper IT expert to sort it.
  17. My son got married on Friday and I was his best man. I told a story about the day I realized he had first fallen in love. He was aged 7 and had been going to Ewood for 3 years. His first love was not a girl it was BRFC.
  18. My son and daughter grew up in Bolton and my grandson is growing up in Preston. All are Rovers fans.
  19. Absolutely. He needs calling out for this. He might as well be the anti- marketing manager, with that attitude.
