One of the youth team coaches, who is a client of mine, has said that he has never worked with youngsters as good as the current crop, in his life and expects huge things of them. I hope he is right, as I love an academy player making it into the first team and standing out.

Like him or loathe him, he should not have been given the cold shoulder like he has. To hear him say what he did at pre match press conference was plain awful. It showed everyone what an uphill battle we have with the owners, who quite clearly have very little concern for the day to day running of the club. Here's hoping that they put a proper structure in place, from next season, as almost 12 years of this not cannot carry on, without a disastrous end result.

Good post that and I am particularly interested what you have said about Buckley. I also agree that he will go far in the game when he stops being shunted about and consider him to be one of our best players. From what I have seen of him, when he is played in his best role, I think he is a real gem and could be a player to build a team around.

Table is looking good at the minute

Ewood is a very conveniently on his doorstep. He could be very influential at Rovers, judging by his recent Tweets. I’m not entitled, but I am free to comment.
-
I suspect he has no idea either. Craig Honeyman from Brindle might know though.

The part of the interview where he stated that owners have not been in touch, says it all. Whether you want him gone or not, he at least deserves the courtesy of some contact, to thank him for his service and wish him all the best. This is typical Venky’s and shows us exactly why we have 3 players leaving for free this summer. Badly advised, my arse.

This is pure guesswork, but assuming agents are still involved in a deeper role than just acting as an agent for players, we have one that lives quite close to Ewood that ,may have preferred Rothwell to be a free agent. More money in it for the player and the agent and none at all for the club. If the £6 million being banded about is true (subject to promotion being secured for Bournemouth), then a nice slice of that for the agent, could be a very tempting reason for him to stay put. All is fair in love and war when it comes to agents commission, according to this article. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/agent-tony-mcgill-lost-390k-6931675

I agree 100%. I am the first to accept that he has been inconsistent, but honestly blame Mowbray to a large part for that. Played in the right position, so that he does shine more often will definitely attract attention from others.

There is very little doubt that playing Buckley deeper is the way. His eye for a pass and nicking the ball back, are his biggest attributes. Yes he got a rare goal, but he is a play maker and will provide a killer pass time after time, when played in that deeper role. Despite the doubts he has put in some peoples minds, he is a class act and can only blame the manager for the frustration certain people feel about him.
-
I’ve said for a long time, in the correct position Buckley is top notch.
-
Me but certain people laughed.
-
It is.

Or one of them is called Bradley Johnson and is prepared to stick his neck out and state what everyone can see on the pitch.
-
It’s like a fork in hell actually.
-
Perhaps Mowbray is retiring and he is taking the out of contract players with him to tend to his garden.

Under 5 goals in premier league if he does play there, in my opinion. Good money though if we get that.
