  1. We won’t need to win all 6. I can’t see us getting 6th but 4 wins would do. We will need to win on Saturday and Good Friday, to give us a platform and a chance. I can’t see us winning both though.
  2. Looking at that post as a whole, Gallagher might well have been signed, due to his initials being the same as our all time record goal scorer. I am not seeing any other reason just now.
  3. It’s a pivotal day Saturday. I don’t fancy our chances at Coventry, especially after the latest injury news. If the 7 away games without scoring turns to 8 and the 2 or 3 of the other games go against us, the fat lady will be in fine voice.
  4. Interesting stuff. I know the centenary season was celebrated in the promotion winning 1974/75 season. If we earmark the 2024/25 season, does that not cover all bases?
  5. Imagine if organisation X has a family member who he can convince people that he is a Myles better player than he really is. Sign him up, pay him Myles more money than he is really worth and then get the people in the know questioning why the money left the club. Said player could turn up at a non league club, dripping in gold and driving valuable cars, If the fans of the club, spotted that the player was not up to scratch, then you could call up your friends in the media and get a nice little slot on a sports show to accuse the fans of not giving him a chance. A few tears here and there should do if anyone needs convincing of how awful these fans were for not giving him a chance. After all these fans are a racist bunch too, so if they will stoop to that, then they will quite easily hound a top 5 premier league player out, leaving him to ply his trade in the sixth or seventh tier.
  6. It depends on how it was all positioned. When you see Balaji Rao and Anderson high fiving each other at a game and then learn about the global 11 investment fund, then no it doesn’t seem that risky at all. With the antics of the Rochina deal, the accusations of third part ownership with regards to the Formica deal, then the even bigger fiasco with the Myles Anderson premier league played contract, it becomes a total farce. You have to bear in mind that the TV monies were big back then, despite them being even bigger now and also look at the value of the players on the books back then. A stable premier league team bringing all that in (and thinking no relegation existed 😂) was one hell of an investment for £40m. If you became the owner of all that and didn’t put your own money up, it could become rather tempting. Even Madame wasn’t afraid of going on record to say how she wanted entertaining football, when justifying the sacking of Allardyce and appointment of Kean. It was a real good sales job done on them back then. Funny how we don’t hear a peep from them anymore isn’t it?
  7. It’s a what have the Romans done for us gag.
  8. Pulling wool over eyes is pretty apt, as that’s what the owners would like to do, when it come to the purchase of the club. The badly advised, keep going back to the same stable and as has been said by a few people, these bad advisers, seem to be still lurking in the shadows at Ewood. Its still hard to believe in my mind that it was Venkys money that bought the club in the first place and the great mystery as to why theY keep on funding us, could have answers buried deep back to how the original purchase was really funded.
  9. Imagine if you gave a club, as well run as Accrington Stanley the resources Rovers have. Assuming we are still in the championship next year, there is one division separating us and when you look at our ground, training facilities, support base and money being spent, it puts it in perspective. 2-3 out of 10 for me, but I wouldn't lay all the blame with the manger, as the next one will be similar if not worse.
  10. Just hearing Lenihan has torn his groin and is out for the rest of the season. That could all but end any lingering chance we had.
  11. Without wanting to have a go at anyone, we have been told by some posters on here, that things are about to get better. Any comments on this from those who have posted that and is the turn for the better, likely to mean we have a better managerial list and is a better future likely as a result?
  12. It's in my top one game that one. wonderful match and great comeback and orchestrated by a man who I loved as manager, despite my tender years at the time I was gutted too, when he left. RIP Gordon, a top Rovers manager.
  13. They won 2 of their last 16 league games in the 2012/13 season. Death spirals are a hallmark of his management, but in his latest interview, this current one is due to having a young squad.
  14. Is it anything to do with the new sponsors logo looking better on that kit?
  15. There have been quite a few records broken this season, all of them unwanted.
  16. Do you mean like, lets get the betting suspended on Warnock being the new manager, then appoint Owen Coyle?
  17. If I didn't know any better, i would think he was setting us up to lose and not score in some of those games. I had hoped this sort of thing was over, after the strangest game I had ever witnessed (away at Spurs) suggested to me that we were being duped as fans. Perhaps it is total incompetence with Mowbray, but I can help but feel suspicious about what goes on at times. His comment to the BBC over the weekend were bizarre, in the extreme.
  18. I think his trips to play for Chile, especially the one at high altitude, had taken their toll. I agree that we should not pin our hopes on him, but think he had burned out and a break may have done him good. I have already gone on record to say the play off hops are gone, so don't think it will make any difference, in terms of the play off chances, but I would like to see a few goals and the odd win, before the end of the season, if nothing else.
  19. It would be mental, but there owners allowed someone to agree a premier league contract for Myles Anderson
  20. We can forget the play offs, it simply will not be happening
  21. We have nothing to lose now, unlike in early January, when we were so handily placed. Even if they told Mowbray to stay at home and made one of the players, player manager for 7 games, would it matter if we lost them all?
  22. How can he say that? Even if he said yes, as we have failed to score in our last 7 away and have scored 4 in the last 11, but our leading scorer is back soon, so hopefully it won’t be for much longer. To say no not at all tells every fan and player, he is a Walter Mitty type.
