  1. Most fans could see what was wrong last night in the first half, so you can be sure that the players could. It is a guess, but perhaps some of the players turned on him at half time and he threw his toys out of the pram and said okay do it your way. I can't imagine the players would normally have a say in who is taken off and how the formation should be changed, but neither can I imagine why the manager would sit there with a face like thunder, when the changed, worked a treat and we had the 2 goals in 7 minutes. Again just a guess, but if he has had total control (which he should have) for the previous 9 matches and he then delegated to either the players, or a coach, who immediately broke the goal draught, perhaps that's worth sulking about. It might be total crap what I have just posted, but I can't work work it out any other way
  2. The three winnable home games to put us back on track, have worked well.
  3. At least he could have a record that he could be half proud of. Given the record home loss, the record for the lowest number of goals over a 9 game stretch and the number of games with no win last season, all he needs now is another couple of penalty misses and he will probably have that record too. He has been very fortunate to be manager when no one really cares too much about what the fans think, as any uprising makes no difference these days, which would never have happened under any previous owners in my lifetime. This proud and famous club have been turned into a laughing stock sadly.
  4. It doesn't really matter, what the budget is, we are not going to be anywhere near successful under these owners. Pasha seems to do a good job of hiding in the shadows and pulling the strings, whilst everyone with their heads above the water, finds a reason to be positive, about death spirals and goal droughts.
  5. We are lying on the canvass, begging not to be hit any more. We surrendered when our opponent was on the ropes, one blow from a knock out, but failed to recognise, what a great chance of victory we had. Given the last 4 fights were all exactly the same, it has hardly been Rocky, although the Rocky analogy in another context, could be used to describe our form.
  6. Even more incredible is the pro rata of goals scored. That looks to be just under 12 to me.
  7. I’ve been practicing platting sawdust and I still can’t do that either.
  8. If the owners let him get away with last seasons death spiral, then they sure as hell will let him get away with this one too. I can see us breaking more records with this goal scoring drought. I’m expecting none again on Tuesday and wonder if anyone can be bothered checking, if one goal in ten matches is a football league record. It’s hard to believe that the gutless decision makers at the club, sit back and do nothing about it.
  9. I posted on the Mowbray summer and beyond thread that we will not be in the play offs and will not be getting promoted. Today just cemented that belief and hard as it was to watch, this is nothing like a successful team. Mowbray simply does not know how to turn a losing streak around as we have seen now for the last 4 seasons. He should not have survived last seasons run and now with 1 goal in 9 games his time has to be up. I assume he was happy with Dack taking the penalty and that shows how weak he is, as he should have made absolutely sure that a player, out for so long and coming on as as sub, was not the man for that. Travis would have been my shout, as he is at least a player with bottle, but those decisions just put the top hat on a bitterly disappointing run. No professional team should ever have a barren goal scoring run, as bad as this and I can see this carrying on, even longer, as there is simply no one accountable and that's the long and short of it. Mowbray needs to go now, before he heaps even more embarrassment on himself.
  10. Yet some people still think we should be grateful to them.
  11. We are not going up and we are not getting into the play offs. Mowbray needs to go in the summer, as we simply cannot carry on seeing these death spirals. The losing streaks were bad enough, but to go on a streak of one goal in 8 or 3 goals in 12 tells me the man is a loser, who simply can’t work out, how to arrest a slide. How we ended up getting into the position we did under him, baffles me, but the dramatic fall away and inability to score, makes it all pointless. Ten more games under his management is plenty and as we stumble to around tenth, anything other than the end to his tenure, will sicken me.
  12. I have quite rightly been pulled up on the bravery thing with Gallagher, but that's how it has seemed to me too. I was at the Fulham match and he seemed to be holding back at times, so who know whether the punctured lung and clash with the QPR keeper have left a mental scar.
  13. Fair point. I am possibly looking at the last couple of performances and thinking that, or perhaps the injuries you have mentioned have left doubts in his mind.
  14. I actually have to question Gallagher's bravery too. Does he worry about getting clattered or something, as I have never seen him go in where it hurts?
  15. Very disappointed in the result, but had a great day out. Thought the fans were wonderful and probably deserved a better performance. It’s been a while since I have been to an away game in London and to see so many Rovers fans, shouting and singling like they were, was something special. I thought the ref was weak and was very disappointed he did not clamp down on the tricks Harry Wilson got up to. He deserved a booking for inciting the crowd like he did and should have been at least warned after the first goal. Its a shame the Gallagher goal was offside, as it could have set up a grandstand finish. I thought Johnson and Travis both had decent games and was very impressed with Gallagher’s work rate. In isolation, this game was always going to be one of our toughest, so like a few, will hope we can convert some of our chances over the next 4 vital games. I fly back home to Spain this morning, so will be watching the next few on TV and back for the Blackpool game, by which time, we should know if our top six ambitions are realistic or not. Hopefully the season won’t fizzle out from here, as I would love a trip back to London for a play off final.
  16. Confident in that won't bottle it on TV or think we are going to win type of confidence?
  17. I have to say I do agree and see the sense in it. I guess my blood is a bit to blue and white.
  18. It does seem illogical to have a problem paying a home grown player, as much as a player that has been brought in.
  19. I am already excited about this one, as I am flying in from Spain on Friday morning and making a weekend of it. I am also treating the wife to a weekend in London on the basis that she attends the match too. My son and his partner, who I haven’t seen since December are driving down to meet us on Friday, so for starters that should be a lovely evening. It will be the first visit to Craven Cottage for all of us and for my son, the furthest he has travelled for a match. Given what happened at Ewood, we owe them one, so hope we can get stuck in and make it back to back home defeats for them. Just as was the case after the game earlier in the season, if that we can go on a run after this one, then we should cement our place in the play offs. I would definitely play the same side that started on Saturday and worry about Travis getting a yellow, if it happens. I always believe, you should try and win every game, so protecting him for me, is not an option. I hope to get into one of the away friendly pubs and given we have 2,000 going, look forward to seeing a few familiar faces too. COYB.
  20. I am sitting on the fence with this, which begs the question why I have posted. I guess I just hope like hell that we get there and don't really care who we get, as we are on with a 1 in 4 chance then, which is far better than watching the play offs, having just tasted relegation to the third tier.
