I think people are conveniently forgetting that. I don’t want to be a doom monger amongst this great run we are having, but do not forget the crazy hap hazzard way, the owners have run this club. This has still not changed and never will under these people. We do not find ourselves on the brink financially because of the fans, it is purely down to the people who they have appointed and the buck stops with them.

Some pictures emerged yesterday of some awful neglect, with regards to the upkeep and maintenance of the riverside. The club should already be aware of it, as it is their responsibility to ensure the ground is kept safe, clean and tidy. These pictures shows total neglect in that respect. Hopefully something will be done about it, as this sort of thing is unacceptable.

This is where the funds from the Armstrong sale and the sale of the STC could be used to offer the 4 players the deals they crave and give us a fighting chance. It is literally a heads I win, tails I win scenario, as a promotion brings the riches that mean we can afford these increases. Fail to make it and the extended contracts mean a sale in the summer, increase the value of each and every one. As other have already mentioned, breaking this side up now, would surely make no sense, as yesterday’s performance, showed we are the real deal, so let’s not pass it up, by doing something stupid. Despite that, with so many players having caught it, we have seen games call d off this week and one of the premier league managers, suggesting all this weekend’s fixtures be postponed.

I’m sure that was the opinion of plenty the season before last, yet if we are to believe the experts, this new variant is far more contagious. I don’t think it’s me overreacting to be honest, that’s not my mindset.

It could end up quite tricky this, as we have an early start next year, due to the break for the world cup, so a break in the games, could end up meaning a cancelled season.

From what I am reading TV and advertising money, is far more important that attracting supporters to the games. Maybe we should flatten the stands and ban fans and concentrate on getting everyone signed up to I Follow/ Rovers TV and market them to death. No need for safety certificates, stewards, maintenance to the ground, catering, office staff, ticketing costs etc and the players get used to playing in conditions like last year. All I can say is WTF.

Aided and abetted by something being done by the club, to encourage this and we will be there.

No one to blame other than Venky's for the drop off in attendances, no matter which way you look at it. For any so called fan to lay the blame anywhere else, is quite frankly appalling.

We can only hope that is the case, as like you, I was also hopeful of that. Although the team are performing at the minute, I think most of us know that we will get more of the same stuff served up for the last 5 years, unless there really is a big overhaul.

Just another quick thought too, how about a promise of reduced price season tickets for next season, if we do make the premier league. Any full season ticket holders get 50% off, half season ticket holders and casual supporters with a history of buying tickets to ten games, get a 25% discount? Strike now, whist the iron is hot.

The fact that people post on here, suggests that each and every one, care about the club. To some, it may not be important, but what an ideal opportunity, now for the owners to come out and explain, what their plans are for the club. Not only that, but even some sort of an apology, or even an explanation, about how there were hoodwinked and advised by people, who were not looking after the best interests of the club. We are riding as high as we have been right now, since relegation and if they are prepared to search for some harmony and togetherness, from the fan base, perhaps, they will never get a better opportunity.

It’s days like today that make you proud to be a Rover. Great team spirit, the fight and desire, especially at the back was amazing. I have no idea, what was said after the Fulham game, but whatever it was, seems like a minor miracle. All round superb today, Pickering stood out, as did Buckley, but everything about that was superb. The beer is chilling, Christmas has come early after that.
