  1. I assume he's said similar to you as he said to me, from that? IE: The only thing in his mind that would make him leave would be Venkys telling him to go, or if he felt they undermined his involvement in choosing a new manager (his first time doing this for Rovers).
  2. A good initiative but would get far more take up if STs were reasonably priced. My last ST was £299, I'd probably bump that up by £50 with this initiative. But at £430 they can take a running jump. At least they've tried, but just feels half-arsed at every turn.
  3. Believe it or not, sometimes people scroll through threads just browsing rather than because their in a specific topic. Even moreso when you're a mod, scouring the site for singles and other evildoers! *Superman Theme Tune*
  4. Nor so much about rating either highly tbh, but I've met them both and they really strike me as a Yin and Yang type of duo. By no means am I actively advocating them, but I just have a hunch that the pair would be greater than the sum of its parts somehow. Can't really explain it.
  5. Ferguson doesn't interest me on his own, but alongside Unsworth I would raise an inquisitive eyebrow and a sage stroke of my stubble.
  6. For years I've loved several history-based YouTube channels. The best probably being TheGreatWar and RealTimeHistory.
  7. A really weird, out of the blue one from a pal at work (same guy who told me Venus left 2-3 weeks ago): Robbie Keane as a 'name', and keeps the Boro links alive 😅
  8. 1864Marketing 101: Only Rovers supporters make racist comments in the Mail online.
  9. I value Williams' contributions as much as we all do, but looking back a bit... What were his qualifications to run a football club when he was appointed? I genuinely don't know. I vaguely feel like he came from Granada TV or something m
  10. I personally think a Venky on the ground could be an important step forward in having proper communication between the club and the owners, AND I would hope it can begin to build a bridge with a fanbase that (myself included) reckons they're a bunch of pillocks.
  11. Come on @1864roverite, you must know this one seeing as you seem to know everything else (apart from the difference between a leaflet and a renewal pack, it seems).
  12. Floodlights. Fucking hell, it sends shivers down you.
  13. That's interesting because you never have before. You usually quote from the Alan Nixon Big Book of Excuses. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing the info either way 🤷
  14. I don't understand why it's weird. It's one of the most normal/sensible things this club has done in a while. Might as well save paying them off by leaving them in place until a new manager decides whether he wants them or not.
  15. It seems sensible enough to me. Rather than just binning them off, let the new manager consider whether to keep them or not.
  16. That 7m 'we get back' isn't profit. The alleged sell-on is %age of profit, not sale.
  17. That 7m 'we get back' isn't profit. The alleged sell-on is %age of profit, not sale.
  18. Look how many Rovers fans have (very genuinely) compared Mowbray to Souness and Hughes.
