I'm glad that it's Liverpool Vs Real Madrid, I like the traditional feel of it. Two clubs steeped in European Cup history, it feels old school.

I've gone back onto iPlayer to rewatch an old favourite from 2004-2012: Hustle. Not too complicated to watch or particularly dramatic, but a good bit of harmless drama involving cons who target bad people. Watching it backs there are hundreds of cameos from people who are now really well known!

The whole club is just not run very sharply anymore.

Spitballing: A Venky on the ground permanently might not be a bad thing. Actual, direct involvement from the owners at long last.

Take note of what happens when tickets are well-priced, Mr. Waggott! -
He's not my first choice, but he'd be a good 'relieved Venkys didn't go mental' appointment.

Don't you mean Ken Éstavo?

That was a Rhodes finish from Trav!

Very unlucky from Wharton, but shows we can't get cocky.

Right, let's really turn them over, come on.

Superb from Buckley!

Ooh! Aah!

None of it is his fault, but his subsequent treatment of the fans and the players certainly is his fault.

That reads to me like you're arguing with him but agreeing with him. That is exactly Rev's opinion. He feels more strongly about Mowbray BECAUSE he should really have gone 2 years ago instead of continuing to stink the place out. He's not nefarious in the way Kean was, but he's certainly acted more like Kean this season, slagging off the fans on numerous occasions, telling us 'the SAS aren't here anymore' as if we think we should be winning the PL. My own resentment comes from three places: 1. He should've gone 2 seasons ago. 2. He pretends he's nice but is really quite a snide guy when (fairly) criticised. 3. He's blown our best chance at promotion in a decade in spectacular fashion, and doesn't seem to give the slightest toss about it. He's not as bad as Kean, but he's definitely getting there if he doesn't leave this summer. Remember there are folk who wanted him out after 5 games in L1, so it's not like he's covered himself in glory since.

A very Waggott response 😂

I have a slightly different take: Why is St. George's Day about English pride? Be proud of it EVERY day. Same logic, I don't just love my wife on Valentine's Day, nor is my family only Christian at Christmas. Equally: If it's a day to celebrate St. George, why not celebrate his other patronages? Georgia, agricultural workers, farmers, field workers, soldiers, archers, armourers, equestrians, cavalry, saddle makers, chivalry, peacekeeping missions, skin diseases, lepers, leprosy, syphilis, sheep, shepherds, and scouting. But returning to the main point... Celebrate it if you like 🤷

Concrete offers: 2 (that we know of); the Ians and the Qataris. Enquiries made: At least 5, some of which are just waiting for the sale sign to go up (putting pressure on Venkys to sell just raises the price) - and these were during the Senior era I don't have more detail than that, but I'm certain there will have been more offers/enquiries in the 5 years since.

Do I? I mentioned him once in a humourous context (being here while Burnley still owe him money). 'Neither is Dyche' suggests you know Farke's also not realistic, yet you keep mentioning him. Something you berate others for when they mention Dyche. My whole point is you are being hypocritical about it AND it's not for you to tell other posters to stop talking about something. Next time you see a post about Dyche just scroll past it instead of berating the poster.
