From the horse's mouth's assistant and best mate, Dunn doesn't want such a hands on role at any club anymore. His aim is to move into a 'Director of Football' type role, however (and I told him myself) I'm not sure he's earned his stripes for that yet either. Needs to get back in work lower down the pyramid and prove himself.

There's a Clough quote for everything: 'Some think I'm confident, some say arrogant. What's the difference? Cassius Clay is arrogant but we love him because he's bloody good at what he does.'

Premier League season 21/22

Complete conjecture, but I wonder if he's been told he's no budget to replace the out of contract players and.kicked off at 'same old same old'? Or possibly he's been asked to take a wage cut? -
Hey, Tony. Fuck off. And when you get there, fuck off from there too. Then fuck off some more. Keep fucking off until you get back here. Then fuck off again.

I love that one of the fans most up Mowbray's arse is that bloke who tried to set up FC Rovers of Blackburn in 2012. Hypocrites.

Summerslam coming to Cardiff! What a shame that it's when I'm as uninterested in WWE as I have been in years. They have all the component parts, just no creative to tie it all together. For me, the beauty of 2000-2007 (ish) was that stars were booked up and down the card as if they COULD be main eventers.

Completely disagree. Bask in his glory.

I'm hopeful (I know I know) that they wouldn't pay the fee for Ainsworth last time because they also would've had to pay severence for the incumbents. If we approach Ainsworth this summer, we've no severence to pay and Ainsworth is one year cheaper. Hopefully.

Mowbray, the summer and beyond

Is Dowling the same fellow who was Head of Recruitment under Appleton? Wow he's made a great career of himself. -
I've seen a few recommend Ainsworth, and I've seen a few pooh-pooh it. 'Its just because he's a Rovers fan' or 'Took Wycombe up and straight back down'. Hang on, he took Wycombe (yes, WYCOMBE) from the brink of relegation to the Conference in 2013 to the Championship in 7 seasons with a negative budget (with no academy, reserve team, or goalkeeping coach until 2016). What has Tony achieved in 5 seasons with us? We can say Ainsworth isn't good enough, but that just highlights how poor Tony has been imo. I'm not saying he SHOULD be our manager (I personally would) but I find it very difficult to find anyone else with such a positive record in recent years that would be affordable (Rooney? Jones? Neither of whom look like leaving their clubs and certainly not to us). The 'Rovers fan' bit is nice, but irrelevant to what is a remarkable achievement in English football. Looking abroad? I can't do much better than throw names that are surely being looked at by Prem clubs by now, and we only have a shot by being 'the first to ask'; Nagelsmann, Jaissle, Amorim etc. TL;DR: It'll be Pulis with Jewell as assistant won't it?

Bloody hell that's an easy one: 'That lad we loaned out to Blackburn. Keep him.'

Reminds me of an oldie but a goodie. A lady hears a knock at the door. She goes to answer and a man stood there says 'I'm terribly sorry, but I've just run over your cat.' 'Oh no, that's awful.' 'As a token of sorrow, I'll happily replace him?' 'That's alright with me I suppose, but how are you at catching mice?'

I know what you're saying @Mellor Rover. Nobody can win in his condition and from his position. But HE might.
-
He's already had the greatest comeback of all time. Surely even Tiger can't top the 2019 Masters? Though all he really has to do is make the cut, then hang in there while others hit it in the drink at Amen corner.
-
For a manager to say it, though, is piss poor. And let's be fair, we were all pretty happy at the time.

My mistake, 4 years. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-mowbray-brockhall-anniversary-19898744.amp At the bottom: 'And I know you're not big on milestones but four years at a football club is a pretty big achievement, is there anything that stands out in your time as manager that you take great pride in? A proud memory or a favourite moment? No.'
-
An interview marking his 5 years at the club: 'Any highlights in your time at Rovers, Tony?' 'No.' He doesn't give a shiny shite.

Every man and his dog knows Mowbray doesn't care. He's said as much himself.

Turns out our family isn't complete. Little E #2 due in November!
