  1. We say this every year, but (pandemic permitting) we should have a few BRRCS members meet up for a round.
  2. It's an interesting debate and I see validity on both sides. Yes, DeChambeau is a talking point on tour, and it's not like he's tearing up courses winning every tournament. Equally, they need to nip in the bud any situation where a next generation of pros are inspired to just 'go long'. With that being said, 'go long' still needs an amazing short game to win anything.
  3. How about a series of What's in the Bag? Driver: Mizuno ST200 Woods: 3 + 5 Adams Irons: 3-SW Ping Zing 2, plus an old Mizuno 60deg lob wedge Putter: Odyssey 2-ball White Hot (original). Ball: Callaway Chrome Soft. Probably change to Vice Pro Plus once I lose them all. Looking to finally take the plunge after my 30th and get fitted for Mizuno irons and wedges 🙂
  4. That very nicely sums up the feelings I had when I thought Orton was going to topple Edge at the last hurdle!
  5. Christian returning. How do we fancy having him challenge Big E for the IC title? A challenge for the deprived of him for the same title against the same guy in 2014 due to concussion... Obviously to elevate Big E.
  6. Side note: Carlito was SHREDDED! Is he back for another run, I wonder?
  7. Imo Edge winning the Rumble is fine, same logic as DBryan in my opinion. However, I hope he's used to elevate the champ rather than get another title reign. I suspect, however, that his win means there'll be a third man introduced to the fray come WM.
  8. Great outcomes in the McIntyre vs Goldberg and Women's Rumble thus far! Feels as though WWE may be definitively investing in the future at long last.
  9. To add to my 'Rousey at No2' prediction, have Bayszler in at No1. That is a programme that deserves WM and it can start tonight.
  10. I feel as though they think a Miz cash in would keep both McIntyre and Goldberg strong. If they had their wits about them, they'd have Miz cash-in in such a way that it screws both men over. I reckon Goldberg spears McIntyre laying him out, Miz interrupts the Jackhammer by smashing Goldberg with the briefcase then cashing in to make a 'triple threat' then pinning Goldberg. Miz brags and brags about pinning Goldberg to become champ. Leads to McIntyre vs Miz for title at Fastlane (McIntyre wins back title he never lost and moves on). Then Goldberg returns at EC to take out Miz (use the 'disrespecting a legend' story) setting up the match at WM, where Goldberg gets his pointless win back. Re: Rumble winner, I can see them going the 'Rollins vs Reigns' route but should save it for Summerslam imo.
  11. Agreed. My hope is for another 'workhorse win' a la McIntyre. Someone like Cesaro or Big E.
  12. I'm working the next day but a few predictions: Goldberg vs McIntyre: Miz to cash in and win. Rumble returns: Men's: Kane, Scotty2Hotty, Rollins at No30 to win. Women's: Victoria, Molly Holly, Rousey at No2 for DAT POP. Ripley to win.
  13. I think it's 'one of those'. He could just as easily been a mainstay like Mulgrew for a season or two.
  14. Wtf were the Boro defence doing there? Not that I'm complaining.
  15. Fair point. To add to your point, best use of Goldberg in recent years was the random Ziggler squash just when we were anticipating a Shawn Michaels clash. Think that was 2019 Summerslam?
  16. Goldberg at this point should be elevating midcarders ready for the IC/US title scenes, or random hitman-type appearances.
  17. How there can be such a difference between the awful Raw and the relatively coherent Smackdown is beyond me. Speaking of which, Cesaro vs DB was a wonderful match to watch. Angle has praised it as reminding him of his old matches with Benoit and it's hard to disagree.
  18. Just like Mowbray wasn't mentioned til he was appointed
  19. Wow! That's more than 2 Burnleys! *dons tin hat*
  20. Without googling I reckon we've spent about that this century.
  21. I'd personally use plaster, just that ready mixed stuff from B&Q will do. Polyfilla for a hole that big will look messy and, although you're not bothered about the finish, you want as even a surface as possible for your tiles. Just asked my dad, he's a bit old-fashioned, 'Treat every wall as if you're painting it'.
  22. Spent all summer redoing baby's room ready for his arrival. Tore down old plaster, replastered it, sanded down, lined up the wallpaper, took about 2-3 weeks all in. Had a week's rest. Took delivery of the cot, took it upstairs, held the box at the wrong angle, plank slid out straight through the wall.
  23. Time to go. Prepared to eat these words but I actually can envision Mowbray deciding to leave at the end of the season if we finish lower than 12th. I've no reason for that, just a bit of a gut instinct.
  24. Maybe the Bell End will finally be erected.
  25. I struggled with Berg, but I really liked Appleton. He was a blunt instrument and seemed to be getting a lot more effort out of those players. Needed longer to see it translate into results.
