Even with players 2 yards away from him he seems to have all the time in the world to play a pass and a good one at that. I've not had excitement about a player for a long time but I'm looking forward to building a team around him next year.

OK, last summer, Mowbray and half the team had gone followed by not one of the fans favourites being hired.
The drums of Venky doom were being played as we all expected a horrible season fighting relegation under someone cheap, hired in desperation.
Suddenly we hired GB and JDT. Eyebrows and hopes were raised. What is this ?
We had long clamoured to start our promising youth under Mowbray, yet he stubbornly used men anywhere on the park. Men who didn't care enough about Rovers to sign new contracts.
On the pitch we got our wish to see our youth stutter, grow and flourish in front of our eyes. Adam Wharton's Blue and White was ringing out last night with pride.
Relegation ? No....
A play off push keeping the embers of hope burning with only 2 to go.
Two cup runs filled with pride we had long forgotten about.
On the pitch, JDT has done his job this season, his first season.
I applaud. Well done Jon and Thank You.
Off the pitch, it's now over to you Gregg !
Get us what we need so we can have our own promotion party this time next season.
Even sweeter in a Burnley relegation season.
Excellent bit of perspective. When we were sat with no DoF and no manager days before pre season started and a threadbare squad, we were fearing a bad bad season. It'll be an absolute sickener if we don't get top 6 but we've exceeded all expectations this season.
To me the squad feels like it has some direction and it feels like we're a good window away from really pushing on.

If Wharton starts there's really no point doing these polls

Rice Bellingham and Wharton as a midfield trio for England in a few years time. Mouth watering.

Is Hyam not shouting for that??

If its fines and point deductions for fielding a weakend squad we're absolutely fucked for all the times we started Hirst and Vale.
I'm with K-Hod - you have a 25 man squad you should be free to use them as you please. If they started the whole u18 squad then I could understand but they didn't

Why Hedges was going for goal and not heading to the corner flag is beyond me

Time wasting should be a free kick to the opposing team. What good is a yellow to darlow in injury time?

Not a pen - need to get the sniper out the stadium before he gets anyone else!

You dont need refs doing VAR. VAR shouldn't be there to re-ref every decision it just needs someone with eyes to pipe up on the mic and say for example "I think that's hit his arm there do you want another look" the ref can then say "Yeah I saw it but XYZ" or "no I missed that bring it up onscreen" then the ref looks at it and makes a decision, not someone in a room hundreds of miles away, the red on the pitch. By all means use the VAR as a sounding board but the decision should be the refs.
What annoys me is that the ref will stand around for 2 minutes and then go to the monitor. Why not just go to the monitor as soon as its clear a decision needs to be made?

I think Rogers to Spurs would be a decent move

There's nothing caretaker about this appointment. Frank will want it long term and I suspect the new owner would have him long term if he performs between now and the end of the season. This is a trial period.

Can't remember who I was listening too but they said that basically if they sold Loftus-Cheek, Mount and Gallagher, they'd be there or thereabouts with the FFP limits.
Today's markets with the British mark up, there's £120m+ worth of player across those three and they're all Academy graduates so that's all pure profit.

If we were going to lose due to a cock up I'd rather it was cos Morton had tracked back and two footed Doyle rather than just giving up like that. As my father in law said 'you'll be pissed off if he's not bleeding after all that carry on'

Morton wants shot for that.
Ref was shite as well. I don't mind letting rough challenges go but you have to do it for both sides

Gallagher was shooting - not a clear goal scoring opportunity

Fantastic what JDT has done with the squad. Imagine what he could have achieved if he had someone with a killer instinct up top!

Gallagher holds on to the ball for too long and has the same punishment as bashams TWO studs up challenges.

Could have been me that said it. Can't remember who we were playing but their GK was dicking about in 90+ minutes and a yellow is of no benefit to us.
Pushing and shoving at a set piece usually results in the ref having a word and some times booking but never giving a foul either way
