  1. Great answer by Rovers today. I dunno if it was players response, Mowbray’s tinkering or both, but great response, lads.
  2. You & I know that; but, as he’s proven many times before, nobody knows what’s going on in his mind.
  3. Ol’ Tony has certainly shaken things up, hasn’t he?!? I guess he’s thinking, “it can’t be any worse than midweek”
  4. It’s nice to hear so many are going & taking their kiddos to a Rovers game for the first time. Don’t let the clown on the touchline run you off. I hope Rovers give y’all a good showing today. COYB!!!
  5. Scary, no matter who is played there. Some are better than others, but I’m afraid it wont take ShefU long to figure out our weakness.
  6. I can accept losing, if the lads give a proper effort and TM doesn’t make a mess of the best available 11. What I do not think we can accept, is a poor effort, a poor selection, and an even poorer configuration not suited to our players. This might be the last chance of the season for mgmt to sell bargain tickets, and expect any kind of walk up crowd. Another home shellacking, and they won’t find takers for freebies.
  7. Excellent preview, for a newcomer like me to read any of the history of Rovers is always rewarding. Of course, you’ve set the bar higher for future previews, Rog, keep up the good work! I am hoping the lads make a good showing, rebuild their pride and give the fans a good show. TK, Nyambe, & Lenihan will be on top of their game. I am expecting BB-D to increase his value as well.
  8. I’m afraid the message they would get is, time to pull the plug and cut their losses. We aren’t dealing with people who have any emotional attachment whatsoever to the club. It’s simply a business to them, and a business losing millions, at that. When they turn out the lights, I’m sure they will say something like, “we regret to end our relationship with this fine old club, but in light of dwindling attendance and lack of community interest, we had no choice…”
  9. The club may not last that long. Owners could write it off. Their losses have to be upwards of £300 mil. I don’t think any of us want to believe it could happen, but with their absence from the club for so long, there’s no way they care, or have any passion. I am now convinced the owners see the club as a white elephant, and won’t pay .01 more than they have to. Mowbray, waggott, etc, could be the least of our worries. These are scary financial times. Bury. Bolton, almost. Sad to contemplate, but the possibility exists.
  10. Just get in someone to manage that has a passion for the club. That would get the fans back excited, too. It’s amazing what might happen, if someone gets in that earnestly loves the shirt.
  11. I hope all of you predicting his ousting are right. But I’m afraid we’re stuck with him the rest of the season. I can’t see the owners spending anymore than they have to right now.
  12. It’s not a comparison, it’s just that everybody gets pounded. If Rovers come out ready vs ShefU & we win, or if we lose, we all still want Mowbray canned. Moving right along, there’s nothing left to say about this mess that hasn’t been said 1,000 times.
  13. Yes, it’s bad. But if it’s any consolation, even Liverpool and ManU have a game like this every year. Take our lumps, come out ready to face ShefU on Saturday.
  14. As I said, I’m a lifelong Cowboy fan, so I know I’m in for the big letdown, but it’s nice to dream…
  15. I gotta say this: Good things come in 3’s, right? The Atlanta Braves won their first WS last night since 1995 (yes, I’m a Braves fan); Cowboys last won the SB in ‘95 (yes, I’m a Cowboys fan, born & reared in Big D); All of us Rovers know our history. Y’all tell me It’s happening…. 😁
  16. Missing three experienced backs (2 starters), I would take 1-1 right now vs Fulham.
