The long-term interests of the club are most important. I’m most fearful of relegation next year. But, failing to pick up even a point vs Wycombe is alarming, for the rest of this season. As I said earlier, I had us getting 9 pts in our last 7. But, I’m not seeing anything close to that after Wycombe.

You may be right, but isn’t it in Rovers’ best interest to showcase the man that could bring in a much needed transfer fee? I repent of my statement in a previous thread of Rovers getting some incredible points tally of 9 in the last 7. What an absurd prediction, even for one of the biggest sunshine-pumpers on this board. We lose, 2-0. More TM platitudes to endure.

Guys on at the end of the game won't be here next season... Downing took a corner, which was fluffed by a underachiever. Manager doesn't leave his seat. Best young players are out of contract. Best DF is a loaner. Best winger is a loaner. Best forward will be sold. Best MF, has his 2nd season-ending knee injury in two years. I mean, if ever there was a team that needed a total rebuild, manager on down, this is it. But, mostly manager. What a dismal state of affairs. -

Absolutely. Btw, Derby, Forest, & Preston could all pass us on the table on Monday. -

I agree 100%. There just doesn’t appear to be any enthusiasm or passion from him, that carries over to everybody. I’m not advocating Ainsworth, but he has all the passion & fire that Mowbray lacks. His players lack the quality of the majority of ours, but he gets more from them. -

We are horrible defending set-pieces. We are horrible taking set-pieces. The midfield is a keystone kops affair. Our best defenders are loaners, as well as our best winger. Forwards are atrocious. The team gets no help or even emotion from the manager, or his stuff. Absolutely abysmal, my low point as a Rovers fan since coming aboard in 2013. -

Two weeks to prepare, and the team plays like this. A huge reason a change is needed. -

Even without Travis, Dack & Arma, I expected better. Then I remembered, Mowbray is still in charge. Terrible showing today -

I don’t see these subs as being the answer; maybe Dolan will play with some fire. -

I honestly cannot see any positives today. We will be in total rebuild mode in the summer... maybe we ought to be. -

So, all the hopeful talk by Mowbray on Arma & Trav was empty talk. Our alignment looks better on bbc, Elliott on wing, Brereton in the middle, but Gally on wing, no way. -

I might be naive, but I consider TM is out, regardless. He’s had plenty of time to get this team to where he says it should be. By his own standard, he’s failed to accomplish the mission. I also think a strong finish to the season benefits our younger players... as long as they are used regularly. -

Seriously, in these final eight games, we should take points in at least six of them. The only two I do not expect at least a point, are Cardiff & Bournemouth. TM: “... we also have to win this next football match.” Three wins & three ties, at least. Then I will worry about TM’s fate. Nothing will happen until after the seasons final whistle, anyway. -

I will say, I was looking forward to seeing Dacky getting up to speed the rest of the way, then his second debilitating injury in two years. But, it’s become kinda fun to anticipate the next goal from Gally; we haven’t expected him to score, but since he’s been playing his more natural position, he’s up to six goals. Not great, I know, but it’s fun when he hammers/lofts/heads in a goal... usually, off a great feed from Elliott. -

it will probably be a sluggish, 2-1 victory for our Rovers. Not that proves anything; any result other than a win, should not be tolerated. -
All I saw was Haaland did NOT score. Annesley must’ve had a good game.
-
Yep...Danny boy scored, then ManUre had to bring in Zlatan & Pogba to win it

We will pick up several loose points now, playing the catfish teams of the division. Making Rovers appear better than they are, but we still won’t get enough to finish higher than 12th.

Well-won point, well-deserved. Great job, lads!
