  1. BB, helping his team & easing the fans angst. I’m very happy
  2. Some excellent scoring opportunities that half, need to finish in the 2nd half, because I believe we will get more
  3. Even so, I’m thinking this is a 3-2 type of game, def not 1-0
  4. “... a defence worthy of the Alamo...” As a Texan I take offense to that! ?
  5. With 12 guys out vs Boro, & still getting a gutty draw, I don’t think the attitude of our players is giving their best effort. After the break, I hope there isn’t an overconfidence borne of getting key players back. The team still has to work hard, to get any positive result. Somebody said earlier two points at Ewood this week isn’t enough; we’re 17th; a point tomorrow won’t even get us to 16th. Hopefully, we see Rovers get all 3. This fixture 10 months ago saw us win, 2-1, on goals by Armstrong & Lenihan. I would gratefully take the same result tomorrow.
  6. Man, I understand & empathize with you. I keep wanting to get iFollow, but I tell myself (lies), “just wait, things will get better, spend money then.” I basically gametrack on BBC or LT, read comments here & “the other” Rovers board, then watch the highlights later (if any). Its not getting harder being a Rovers fan; but it is hard wanting to spend money on ‘em.
  7. Rovers are way overdue for a home win. No dire predictions from me, but I’m afraid I’m not eating sunshine/crapping rainbows, either. Not with the casualty list we have. 1-1, we’ll get ‘em next time.
  8. Today, I saw enough from our team they have fight, and they haven’t “quit” on Mowbray. it was just a point, but I think a significant point, vs a top-5 side. I believe we’re going to climb up the table; no, I have no way of telling the future, as I’m not a prophet. But, we are about to get significant help back in the squad, and we are looking at a run of winnable games. As I said earlier or on another thread, if Rovers haven’t made progress towards a playoff place by Boxing Day, I will listen to & have some empathy with the “Mowbray out” crowd.
  9. A point, and fairly won. I will gratefully take it. Warnock was building an attack on the gk he didn’t want, and frustrated in his attempt. Pears, MotM ?
  10. For all the talk about what a genius Warnock is, I would’ve expected them to score 2 or three on us already. It appears our makeshift defending is holding up fairly well.
  11. I would like a double of what you’ve had ? Tonight is Elliott’s time to shine; I’m convinced he scores once, and gets two assists. It’s all coming together, fellas.
  12. I voted early, so now I’m ready for the game. Not that I’m expecting much, I just hope to see some signs of life from this beat-up squad, and perhaps believe better days are ahead.
  13. I asked earlier, maybe our S&C staff need to go. There’s no reason every year to have this many guys go down.
  14. Twelve 1st teamers out tomorrow; I’m wondering if our S&C staff need to go with him? Im not a big advocate of sacking Mowbray in mid season. I stand by my earlier comment, if we haven’t started winning points routinely by Boxing Day, I think we should expect a change. Certainly, if we are bottom half of the table, there is no defense to keep him on. His new transfers will have had plenty of time to make an impact, & Dacky & Travis hopefully will be back in the lineup for a few games.
  15. I think we need that. Tony & his nice boys image hasn’t translated into anything approaching tough, physical football, with a burning desire to win. Hughes apparently attracted that kind of player. Fights in locker rooms, that kind of stuff. Sounds like the shot in the arm we need. IF he could be coaxed back here; he might not be welcome, he threw us over for Cityzens, right?
  16. Thanks, LT says Bell, Douglas & Johnson all miss, & Kaminski to probably be out. This is really demoralizing, no real hope exists to get any points at all in the near future.
  17. This was before my time following Rovers, but didn’t Hughes have a rep as a mean, dirty, gaffer? We need some meanness, if he still wants to work, he might be a strong candidate when that time comes around.
  18. R-C at left back- Wasn’t that a horror show the last time it was tried? At any rate, it will be a welcome return for Rothwell.
  19. Does Downing have anything left in those 36-year old legs? Maybe penalty kick
