  1. at that time i was working with a complete rovers fanatic,he managed to get to every game that season ,cup games and all,had to stand with the north end fans on promotion night and even went to gillingham, the last game of the season which was a dead game and kicked off at 12.30pm!!!!!!!,he used to get very depressed if we lost as well, the start of the season which did`nt go to well,he was virging on needing some councelling
  2. if this winning streak continues you can bet all three contract rebels will change their mind about not signing, nothing like a sniff of the premier league and bigger wages to get a footballer excited,as it stands neither of the three are going to get an offer from the anyone of the top flight, the top half will be looking to the continent for a european place push and the bottom half will want established top flight players to fend off the dreaded relegation, provided swag and venkys give them a good deal and don`t take the **** with a derisory offer i think in the end they`ll sign
  3. thats harsh imo, whenever he`s played at the back this year,he`s looked fine,he`s a bit dodgy at right back but thats because he`s out of position,it`s magliore who needs shipping out not carter
  4. surely we`ll get a bigger allocation once those are sold, coach travel is setting off a bit early is`nt it,wigan is only 10/12 miles down the road,12.30 departure for a 3.00 kick off, what`s all that about😆,used to go in the car to wigan, but getting away off that car park is an abject nightmare and parking in the street is a lottery😒
  5. lol, that bloody thing has been there since ladbrokes used to it,circa 2002,agree about the neglect, one lad,a hammer and a skip would soon solve the problem on the leaks in the riverside, the roof is`nt leaking, was the frost thawing out,i got a bit of it myself, the riverside is fine and gives a rustic feel to the ground😉
  6. i wondered what happened for mowbray to abandon his beloved possesion based team shape,it never worked but he stood by it for 3 seasons then suddenly changed it,maybe he came on here and took notice of what everyone was saying, base your team on it`s strengths🙂
  7. rovers promotion burnley relegation man utd continuing their vain pursuit of city, liverpool and chelsea
  8. you don`t need to break the bank, just bring in some reinforcements, there will be injuries, tiredness and suspensions along the way and we already have a thin squad, worse thing would be to run out of steam from march onwards
  9. there will never be a better chance to get promoted, the league is choc full of mediocrity and the play offs are certainly there for the taking, surely mowbray can see this and is telling swag to get on the phone to india for some money,if you don`t make a push for it this season then whats the point of owning a football club, venkys are supposed billionaires it aint the 1980`s when bill fox used to fix the attendance figures to avoid paying the tax bill
  10. fulham are nailed for automatic promotion, bournemouth are hampered by their manager, qpr ar`nt anything to worry about, west brom worry me,class squad who play at high speed, providing we get some luck with injuries and some money for reinforcements in january i think it will be a battle for the second spot between us and west brom, happy days to be a rovers fans though at the moment😊
  11. could be matt jansen,he was prolific in the promotion year of 2001
  12. dirty leeds getting mullered again, this has been a great day😆
  13. birmingham are not very good, but credit to the back 3,they did`nt give them a sniff, van hecke in particular is a step above the championship,he reads the game superbly, having a good goalie and a settled defence gives the others confidence to express themselves,im`e amazed really,i thought this season would be a nightmare, cmon rovers,we can do it☺️
  14. more of a concern is boris stating there won`t be a lockdown, which means there will be,he`s clearly unable to portray messages of clarity to the public, with so many "experts" telling him what to do it`s not surprising, one thing britain is`nt short of is "experts"
  15. lovely day over west lancashire and the pennines, perfect for football and getting outdoors
  16. great chance to move near the automatic promotion places🙂,im`e thinking a solid 3-0 win for us against a mid table birmingham, never liked their fans tbh, they have some kind of afliction that also affects burnley and pne fans,i.e they think they are a big club while everyone else laughs at them for their inane claims
  17. branthwaite scores!!!!!!!,the teuchel juggernaut has broken down temporarily
  18. bloody hell, brighton and wolves are two **** sides, much like most of the premier league bar the top six,if we achieve the miracle of promotion there is nothing to be scared of
  19. it`s a virus,i don`t think it hovers around deciding who to infect
  20. aguera would have been just as good against the against hatchet man defenders and vicious tackling midfielders of the 70`s and 80`s,the sign of a truly great player is the fact they would shine in any era,a true great imo
  21. dirty leeds getting a right hammering,ok it`s against man city but the hype over bielsa has always mystified me and the 24 million for daniel james is proof he`s not a very good judge of a player either😆
  22. swag has no idea and/or understanding of his target market, hence the to high walk on price and virtually no engagement with fans,i doubt he would listen to anyone either, all the guy needs to do is swallow his pride and ask a handful of fans why crowds are so low
  23. rothwell looks a class act when played up the field, just a pity it took mowbray a long time to realise it and now it looks like he`s leaving
