Summer Transfer Window
simongarnerisgod replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
it`s similar in the way that anyone can beat anyone, very competetive, kaminski will have been busy and should be used to the physical side -
welcome thomas, endure yourself to the blackburn fans by kicking elliot bennett in the gentlemens regions and put him out of action, you`ll be instantly hailed a hero though not sure it will be to well received by your new manager?

plays far to advanced for tony who considers him selfish and not ready to play in the centre,in the telegraph mowbray expresses frustration with his new signing"i keep telling him,he can`t do as he pleases with the ball,he must lay it square or back and look for support,we are not a one man team here,he needs to take notice of the senior players, corry and elliot, until he gets his head round our system,he`ll contribute coming off the bench" -

it is`nt just chapman though is it,he criticises rothwell, gallagher a few times last season, does`nt appear to think davenport exists, not sure what happened with mahoney, maybe he saw what was coming and got out,i don`t rate mowbrays man management,it`s terrible -

calm down, don`t get your knickers in a twist, more an illustration that mowbray can`t bring the best out of any young player, yet continually laudes bennett, who gives fouls and free kicks away every game -

don`t forget though he`s working with a manager and coaches who ultimately will mess him up,they won`t let him play his own game and will shoe him in anywhere, when it does`nt work out he`ll be put back in the u23`s and stagnate,it pains me to say it but any young player with potential needs to get out of the club as quick as possible, mowbray, lowe and venus can`t get the best out of anyone imo,i think their man management is awful, the only reason armstrong started scoring is because dack was injured,if dack was playing armstrong would be stuck out wide, unhappily wide as well -

reminds me of an old mate who used to brag he was going pull a bird whenever we were in town and ended up at the godfather, sat on the wall, eating his kebab at 2.00am? -

this was the late 60`s all the police were interested in was hitting you with a truncheon and getting you on the nearest transport out of town at the end of the game, carried on this way till the early 90`s,lancs police were never known for their tolerance of football fans, though not as bad as west midlands police, who absolutely hated all football fans? -

couple of things i remember about this game apart from the brawl, receiving free applause chocolate bars in the blackburn end at half time and the naughty boys and girls eating half then throwing the other half at david james? and alan devonshire completely running the game,he was a class act, even with knackered knees,i also remember rod thomas, from schoolboy to youth player,he was perceived to be the next superstar -

tbf we looked better on set pieces last year when mulgrew and rodwell wer`nt there,i agree on our full backs though especially down the left our left side,it`s very weak -

hoping chapman gets a chance this season, potentially he and nyambe could be great down the right, gallagher needs to play centrally with armstrong behind him or off him, having a big man up front gives you another option, what mowbray has up his tactical sleeve though is anybodies guess -

got completely owned by stockley last season at pne, seemingly fell out of favour with mowbray, been injured as well, not up to this level and should be jettisoned imo -

nicky reid was`nt exactly blessed with speed and he still managed to get forward and score quite regularly for a midfield anchor,i`ve never seen evans get forward ever and travis seems to be getting coached out of it,he was quite progressive when he first broke into the 1st team -

was a bit of a desperate time tbh, after 3 play off failures mackays squad needed a rebuild,we had to do without garner and sellers for most of the season as well,i think bobby mimms comes in soon to replace collier, who was never up to the job -

Blackburn. Ready to snap up young striker Connor McBride. Leaving Celtic. Scottish youth cap. not sure about this one, celtic are not in the habit of releasing good players and to cap it all apparently he`s a big lad who is physical, mowbray will no doubt see him as a left winger, with gallagher on the right we`ll have two big centre forwards playing wide?,all part of the mowbray tactical masterplan i kid you not -

buckley needs 2 months in the lower leagues to learn how to look after himself,he`s far to easy to knock off the ball at the moment, mowbray should be seeing this ffs, everyone else can -

as a former full back(albeit not a very good one)i can confirm this is correct, nothing worse than being ran at,it tires you out, gives the winger more confidence and in the end you end up getting booked or sent off for one to many fouls -

steady on,he`s got to pass the mowbray initiation yet,how will he score on the niceness scale, will he pass the mowbray mentality test,is he physically big enough, does he learn from his seniors and the final and most important, can he play out of position
