  1. we will probably be ok because there are 7 or 8 teams worse than us,certainly don`t expect a top half finish next season
  2. be very difficult for any player to learn the mowbray style, mature into their position and be assesed for niceness in the space of a month,i predict fisher or hilton will get the goalie jersey and the rest of the young lads will be propelled into the frey, there is`nt anyone signing,i guarantee that
  3. maceo rigters must be up there, apparently very impressive in some dutch u21 side,i never saw him play but according to those that did he was absolute bilge,i still can`t believe we ***** a million quid on jordan slew as well, last seen getting shown the door by chorley?
  4. does`nt exactly show ambition does it,if it`s true that is
  5. most of us are nervous about who or what he`ll bring in,tony has had a nightmare in the last three transfer windows, lets be honest about that
  6. ian holloway on qpr performance “To put it in gentleman’s terms if you’ve been out for a night and you’re looking for a young lady and you pull one, some weeks they’re good looking and some weeks they’re not the best. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She weren’t the best looking lady we ended up taking home but she was very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, let’s have a coffee” – on the “ugly” win against Chesterfield
  7. ron atkinson get to him early doors and give him the reducer translated as foul the oppositions best player badly,as quick as possible, not applicable in todays contact free game btw
  8. kevin arnott was a great player,he was a class above the division, came on loan from sunderland when he fell out with manager alan durban, unfortunately at the time there was no way rovers could afford the transfer fee or his wages,i think sunderland listed him at half a million quid or something, completly mental fee at the time when rovers could barely afford the electric bill for the floodlights
  9. lets be realistic fellow fans,we are shopping in b&m bargains this season, not necessarily a bad thing imo, give tony some money and the results are a bit on the disastrous side, more concerning to me is the fact everyone in the club appears to be on holiday and no one is actively on the lookout for new players, they`ve just had 3 months off,we should be scouring the free transfer and any offers considered market
  10. munro cost £400,000,just at start of jack putting his money,he must have thought ffs don aint half wasting my money ,added to the distinctly average steve agnew, who cost even more, jack must have thought i`ll have to get rid of don before he wastes even more of my fortune
  11. if walton plays regularly next season i will drive to brighton and show my a**e at the falmer stadium?
  12. wonder if mowbray will walk if he does`nt get an answer on transfer funds from mama venky, highly doubtful i think but you never know
  13. to whoever offers them more money,i suspect dozens of them will end up playing reserve football in premier league super squads, you know the ones where they have 60 or 70 pro`s on their books, chelsea, city etc,the premier league will end up a closed shop and the rest of us will be left in oblivion,it`s probably a master plan by some crooked accountant
  14. they have a salary cap in rugby league and look at the state of the game, anyone who`s any good buggers off to rugby union or the nrl
  15. the problem with quinn was if it was`nt going his way,he used to put the white flag up and disapear into his own little world,on the occasions when he was on it he was a handful to deal with i agree perez was class, though i don`t think his family settled at all,i did hear something about how the weather used to get him down, though no doubt in this rovers era he was payed extremely well and this is britain,it will rain,a lot!!!!!
  16. im`e sure there were plenty of bad signings from decades ago, paul mckinnon, viv busby, jimmy quinn(i never like him tbh) spring to mind, but they were signed for reasonable fees for the era and did`nt drain the finances by being on stupidly massive deals, the likes of best and murphy did`nt even put in the effort, thats why i hate them so much and for me the worst signings we`ve ever made, incidentally, keans love bunny bradley orr was`nt a bad player just the slavish devotion to his master that turned everyone against him
  17. the crux of the matter is mowbray sold a good goalkeeper, could`nt find a replacement and brought a rubbish one in when panicking, rank bad management again that`s gone unnoticed by anyone in the shambles we call a boardroom,i just hope to god i never see walton within 50 miles of ewood again and he`s got some inflated view of himself that he thinks he can challenge for the 1st team jersey now the ?
  18. mowbray to shearer "alan you`re not ready to play upfront, you need to learn the position, stick to the left wing until you prove to me that you can play through the middle!!"
  19. i`me seeing another season of would could have been and more gutless performances, the only positive would be mowbray to wave goodbye or for him to get a bang on the head and turn into some kind of attacking football guru
  20. a good signing if it`s true, though tbh anyone would be an improvement on walton
  21. that would be great idea but for one big problem, one striker is stuck out wide and the other is mincing about playing "false no 9" which i still don`t know what it means, poor ryan thunders down the wing whenever he can to find gallagher looking perplexed and the other striker somewhere other than the penalty area, though i admit his crossing needs work
  22. and they will only realise their potential by playing. i agree, though mowbray will see it different and play them out of position or not at all,i have zero confidence in him getting the best out of any young player,it will be very interesting to see what he does with butterworth, who for me would be a direct replacement and upgrade on the departed samuel, would be typical mowbray tactics to shunt him out wide and ruin him
  23. bit like not repaying your car finance cos the car turned out to be slow, unresponsive and frequently would not start?
  24. i know what you mean,i still get a buzz when i see floodlights in the distance!!!!!!!,i suppose when i was growing up there was barely any live maches on tv so saturday afternoon was sacred
