  1. whatever the line up is,without six points from the next two homes games then the season is over, pne got west brom and fulham next so this is our last chance to catch them imo,
  2. lol,was either that or brave the outside toilet block, was great though,i remember the cup tie against liverpool(the one where atkins scored the own goal)when garner crashed in that volley i started at the top of the blackburn end and finished halfway down the terrace, pinned to a crush barrier!!,great days
  3. which is a question iv`e always been intrigued, why buy a product then set about ruining it,venkys are supposed to be astute business people with a considerable fortune, why would you buy something then in all sense devalue the asset and value,i don`t buy into the opinion they were badly advised either, they must have done some research, they must have some long term strategy of making a considerable profit in some way, which is why i`ll never trust or hold them in any regard, they will f**k us up completely in the end
  4. i would`nt worry about that, the govt is likely to do a u-turn and declare battery powered cars are as bad for the enviroment as conventional power, they did the same with diesel vehicles 15 years ago, they encouraged every one to buy one then a decade on changed their minds!!!!!!!
  5. does anyone know if venkys actually own the stadium or is it a community asset or similar, meaning they can`t get their filthy hands on it,all this riverside talk has got me wandering if it`s the first stage of them trying to sell the ground, starting rumours of building work, then in the near future stating ewood is big and costly to maintain, then finally coming out and saying the only option is to sell and move to a smaller ground, they then cop a huge amount for the site and regeneration of the area and move us to a legoland, identikit stadium with a 15,000 capacity that costs peanuts, all supposition i know and thankfully can`t happen if the stadium is an asset of the community but i would`nt trust that lot and their lapdog waggot
  6. sure id`e rather have money spent on the team than a stand, sort it out if we ever get back to the premier league
  7. if this "safe standing" ever gets the go ahead, make it into a big terrace, would be epic imo,not sure a hotel would work, lets be honest the riverside is`nt exactly in plush surroundings!! one view of the pitch,ok,then one view of the river darwen, complete with floating sewage and other assorted waste you don`t really want to see
  8. can`t complain about a point away at a difficult ground, bloody annoying when you`re 2-0 up though, onwards and upward to 2 winnable home games
  9. nothing the goalie can do there, blame the two centre backs for dozing off
  10. penalty knocked the stuffing out of brentford i was expecting a really difficult half !!!!!!
  11. travis has improved immeasurably over the last 6 months,he`s now the heartbeat of the side
  12. shooting towards the rovers hordes, lets push up the pitch and grab a quick goal
  13. we look stronger these days, last season and early this season we`de have been 2-1 behind by now, dropping williams(after being bullied by the preston dolloper stockley) and bennett(always looks like he`ll give a penalty away) has been a big factor i think
  14. we`re getting overrun at the moment bring on halftime and some tactical changes i hope,we`ll concede unless there are some changes
  15. must be on tony`s thoughts i reckon ,most likely the reason he sold him, weak under the high ball and set pieces, get tosin and lenihan to give him hell
  16. liverpool have looked tired and jaded in their last 5 games, are they going to blow the league!!!!very unlikely but it would be fecking funny if they did?
  17. kind of feeling that the play offs are just a step to far this season, with all the injuries to key players,it will find us out sooner or later, however, the big question is will we backed backed financially for a proper push at promotion next season, keeping lenihan is vital,3 or 4 more quality additions and there is no reason why we can`t challenge
  18. we need to play further up the pitch on saturday, not sure trying to kill the game the mowbray way is the best tactic, brentford are a very attacking side at home,if we sit back we`ll be overrun,id`e try and put pressure on their full backs and try to condense the midfield so they don`t have space to find their pacy attackers, griffin park is a tight little ground so get in amongst them and put their midfield under the cosh, approach the game the opposite of what you are supposed to do when playing away,go straight at them
  19. maybe samuel can run towards the blackburn end and try to gee us up like howard used to do?
