  1. Sutton was a better player no doubt. But I always had a love for Newell. The first ever shirt I got had 10 Newell on the back. It's nice to look back to the time when we had real quality players in the squad and the club had actual ambition.
  2. I don't know why people would sing so much about the dingles. They're doing far better than us and have been for a long time. Next season is going to be painful. I can't see playing them being a joyful experience. Although what else do we have to shout about? This club has been turned into nothing other than a laughing stock for ove a decade now. We have been stripped of all pride and honor and turned into little mire than a punchline. 90s nostalgia for me goes far far beyond diadora trainers and adidas popper trackys.
  3. I agree, I think his time should be up. He's done all he can here. I am genuinely worried about who they would get as his replacement though.
  4. It's an absolute disgrace what has happened with English football. I think fans of all clubs need to unite and stand together. 51% is absolutely essential to stop the imminent collapse of the whole game.
  5. That's because we aren't pushing for the playoffs and we never were. I am not looking forward to next season. The dingles will absolutely demolish us. It's going to be beyond humiliating.
  6. We are punching well below our weight. It's like we're fighting a toddler and losing.
  7. Oh how great it must have been to see Rovers making a genuine attempt to get promoted.
  8. Glad to hear you had a great day out. I remember going walking over to Tockholes with my Grandad at least once a week when I was a nipper. I still don't think I'd be able to bring myself to going back to Ewood again yet.
  9. There are no excuses for those shit penalties. Whether the keeper was off the line or the defender was in the box is irrelevant. Any professional football player should be able to smash a penalty in regardless. It's their job for fuck sake. Shearer would never have had any issues, he'd just walk up and smash it into the net.
  10. The only thing I'm hoping for is the club being put up for sale. What a damming indictment of English football that is.
  11. The future looks incredibly bleak when you realise that Mowbray is the best manager we've had since Big Sam.
  12. Dodgy agent dealings with this club? Well I never thought I'd see the day...
  13. That was an awful time. Still infinitely better than the last eleven years.
  14. But you might be able to bring 1 friend with you to a couple of games....
  15. Under Venkys, yes. We were top half in the Premier League when they took over. Anything other than that is a total failure and unacceptable. "They made some mistakes early on" as people keep parroting but my question is what have they done to rectify those mistakes?
  16. The fact we are still fourth shows how piss poor this league really is. Anything other than first or second is not good enough given where we were in December.
  17. He will be here next year. He's perfect for what the owners want. Mid table in this division.
  18. How low are season ticket sales going to be next year when we finish 13th and the price will go up to £550?
