  1. Brilliant band. Music had died until Punk came along. The early Seventies were a desert until the likes of The Jam exploded onto the scene. Any way, back to the comp. " Around And Around " - Chuck Berry. Audax beat me to it so - " Let It Rock " - Chuck Berry.
  2. " Sally Go Round The Roses " - The Jaynetts. Spooky one hit wonder. No 1 in the U.S. No 1001 here.
  3. " The Monkey Time " - Major Lance. Not as good as his " Um, um, um, um, um,um " but still worth a play.
  4. Very sad news, I always read his posts with interest.
  5. Disgusting performance by Hunslet Old Boys at Rochdale Hornets in the Challenge cup today. They'd only come to fight ( 1 sent off, two sin binnings ), should have been several more. Our winger was elbowed in the face chasing a kick through in the first minute and it just went on like that, the officials were out of their depth.Their " fans " were rude , abusive and boorish to everyone at our club both before, during and after the game. If that's amateur rugby league you can keep it. They were a disgrace to a great game. I've never seen anything like it in 45 years of watching the game. I'd rather finish with the game than that watch that every week.
  6. Kathy Kirby - " Secret Love " . Showing my age now but I always fancied her.
  7. Good choice Audax, try the original by Harold Dorman. Back to the comp. " Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow " - The Shirelles. All time classic love song.
  8. " Over The Mountains, Across The Sea ". - Johnnie and Joe. Classic Doo-wop.
  9. Bryan Douglas was the best. You can argue about who was No 2.
  10. I don't remember the game collapsing when Wigan got relegated to division 2.
  11. " On The Rebound " - Floyd Cramer. One of the best session pianists ever. He must have played on dozens and dozens of U.S. hit records.
  12. " Keep On Smilin' "- Wet Willie. This one's worth a play, especially if you're a Rovers fan.
  13. April the 1st was a while ago, you won't catch me that easily.
  14. Yeah, The 13th Floor Elevators, they were good. " You're Gonna Miss Me " is a classic. " Time Is On My Side " - Irma Thomas.
  15. Bit of a cheat but the last one's a bit of a stopper . ( Marie's The Name ) Of His Latest Flame- Elvis Presley.
  16. What do you think boys, you'd have to be made of stone for the shambles at Ewood not to affect you. At least the mighty 'nets beat Oldham away over Easter, that put a smile on my face.
