  1. Gordon Taylor says its 'MORAL BLACKMAIL' is he right? Leeds debt now stands at 93 million, there's no way they can get out of this mess surely....... http://www.football365.com/All_News/Breaking_News/story_97956.shtml
  2. Shame we are seemingly led to believe our club cant afford a pot to @#/? in at the moment...never mind make a bid for Alan Smith!! **sigh**
  3. Wishful thinking it will remain Jim. Viduka?
  4. 'semi-detatched and dispondent.' Exactly how he came across Clive.
  5. My thought's echoed.Souness came across as rather negative so say the least, someone who had basically lost interest. Souness has always(quite fairly) stated that since his heart problems etc and the birth of his son, football has taken a backseat in priority to his family and that he would only remain involved in football as long as he was enjoying himself. Mmmmmmmmmm.........
  6. I would not sack him Shaddy because their is nobody better available at present BUT....... How is a manager like Sam Allerdyce (who has not had anywhere near the financial backing Souness has recieved and spent) able to seemingly motivate a team full of nothing more than foreign mercenaries yet our Greame still does not appear to know who his best side is yet with half a season gone, let alone motivate HIS team who are underperforming. The rest of the season will be a test of just how good a manager Souness REALLY is and make no mistake...the good times are over.
  7. Look at the financial backing Souness has recieved since tacking over the reins at Ewood,we are talking a figure surely approaching 30 MILLION and possibly more.
  8. Makes you realise how bloody lucky we are to have had Jack Walker invest into his home town club like he did and also to have such responsible and level headed people as John Williams running the club at present. Leeds are trying to court an Arab Sheikh to pull them out of the sh1te by all accounts..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1....783.stm
  9. Even the players look sick and tired of all the media hype and attention now.Ickle Jonny and actress girfriend Diana Stewart have been touted as the 'natural successors' to the Beckham clowns..what a f'kin joke. An excellent National sporting victory but please for christ's sake leave it at that eh. Alank... 'Sir Woodward,I like the sound of that' Pass me the sick bucket please!!!!!!
  10. Its the players responsibility to get us out of sh1t street..they are not performing to the best of their abilities,Souness can talk tactics and formations all he wants but the buck stops with the players attitude and effort over 90 mins. Get down to Ewood against Everton and lets as supporter give everthing we can to carry our team through this mess...stand up and be counted(bloody players too!)
  11. The fickleness, reactionary and apparent sheer stupidity of people never ceases to amaze. 3 seasons of continuous improvement under Souness on and off the field which has seen promotion,a glorious first league cup win,two seasons of European football. Now,only some 10 games into the 03/04 season and after an indifferent start where new players are still clearly finding their feet and low and behold people are calling for Souness to be sacked.... I just pray and hope the people employed at nuclear missile launch sites have more rational thought processes and are less prone to kneejerk reactions than some of you lot have shown FFS!!!!!!! (swallows hard).
  12. What are sturrock's credentials then rover6? what makes you so sure he's the man to succeed at Ewood? CONVINCE US YOUR NOT TAKING THE @#/?....................
  13. Isn't it a funny old game football.Bumley are on the slide to div 2 now,cc has mysteriously vanished into thin air and Rovers are riding high challenging for Europe....... ''We'll meet again dont know where, dont know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day''!!!!!(sometime in the next 20 years)
  14. Just been reading on another football related site that 100's of forged tickets have been snapped up in Glasgow these last few days!!!. Any Celtic fans wish to comment on this rather worrying story?
  15. You're mischief making pal!.Neither Rovers or Celtic have a large hooligan following and a very large police presence on the night will ensure it passes off peacefully and in good spirits whatever the result.Like some of our Celtic visitors have stated, there has been little trouble at games in England when they have played recently.Ewood will be rocking on the night, its going to be some atmosphere...... THURSDAY CANT COME QUICK ENOUGH!!!!!!
  16. People on this board know my feelings about Rovers level of support this season.I feel sorry for the club, they are doing everthing possible on and off the field to encourage people to attend Ewood and watch a good, entertaining team. The citizens of Blackburn are letting the club down badly I feel. The fact that we have still not sold out in home areas for what IS in effect one of the clubs biggest games in its and long and proud history only strengthens my disappointment
  17. Rovers fans are rightly upset about last nights result,WE WAS ROBBED!!!!...but thats football and we'll take it on the chin.If Celtic fans arrogantly think Ewood is like legoland then so be it but if 3,000 blues fans can make a noise like that at the library that is Parkhead just wait till you hear what 23,000+ can do at Ewood!!!!! ADVANTAGE ROVERS!
  18. All we ask is that the boys in the famous blue 'n' white halves give their all for 90 mins and make us proud infront of the nation. COME ON YOU BLUES! 1-1
  19. Celtic fans on the official club mb say that the Scottish papers had quoted Rovers being offered an allocation of between 6,000-2,800. Quote taken from Celtic fan on mb........ ''Admin the fact is Blackburn could have had 6000 seats for Celtic had they had faith in thier own fans, but too worried about footing the bill for unsold tickets they took the easy option and plumped for 2800. The reason there was no offer between 2800 and 6000 is because away fans have to be in policable sections not just pockets, seems to me Blackburn could have sold at the very least 6000 pity they have such short-sighted suits in the boardroom ENOUGH SAID!!??
  20. If Rovers had pressed Celtic for a bigger allocation we would not have had this crazy seemingly unfair situation. It was clear as day to most board members on here that a paltry 2,800 tickets was going to fall WAY SHORT of demand for this 'special game'...interest is massive and its caught the imagination of the whole of the UK never mind Blackburn and Glasgow!!!!! So 2,800 tickets sold out in under 5 hrs to season ticket holders alone, many season ticket holders turned away empty handed I believe, hundreds if not thousands of non-season ticket holders didn't even get a look in.We could have took 6,000+ no problem. GREAT PR ROVERS,SHOT YOURSELVES IN THE FOOT BIG TIME OVER THIS ONE.
  21. Was told by a steward(big fella on the door!) that Rovers HAD been offered 7,000 tickets but had REFUSED that many because they would have had to buy them 'up front' from Celtic and they were unsure they could have sold that many. According to him it was either 7,000 or 3,000 allocation...nothing else due to segregation. He was telling people who were still arriving at 10:00am that they had very little chance of a ticket....all will be sold by 5:00pm tonight,no problems. £24 unrestricted view, see you there!
  22. Fully expect most,if not all of our allocation to be sold tomorrow by 5:00pm. 2,800 allocation for a possible once in a lifetime fixture
