  1. Well you are the one writing the tripe- none of those you name are languages Well there is that.....
  2. At my secondary school German was mandatory for all five years and French was forced upon the top two sets (there were several sets, the higher you were obviously the smarter you were ) in the second and third years. There was then an option to carry French on for the final two years, and you'd have to continue learning German alongside. I passed French (got me a certificate ) but I hated it because, well it's pants! I also got an A* in German, so I was pretty proficient. Emphasis on was though, as I've not spoken it for three years now - I'd struggle to order a drink now! In my defence nobody speaks German in England, there's no way of keeping yourself speaking it to a reasonable level. Oh and erm....Pedersen (whoops nearly made him Swedish, or whatever the o instead of the e would make him!), hmmmm, yes, interesting (for all you whiners out there!).
  3. Taylor has been shocking at rightback, but then I can hardly see Douglas turning him inside out No, but I can see Gray doing it
  4. Tickertape would be good - you could tear up the remaining tickets in the season ticket book and use that.
  5. I just lost my first game 2-3 at home. My team is full of donkeys, it's really shocking Hold on whilst I find my team details.....: Astley Park FC (61587) Country: England Region: Lancashire Arena: Astley Park FC Arena Language: English Series: # 8 in VI.8
  6. What is your problem Every boardroom needs a huge fishtank full of tropical fish
  7. That just warms my heart The second guy needs to stop saying his catchphrase, otherwise those were some nice interviews/reports (though again the second guy is deluded, Taylor is pants anywhere you play him )
  8. Try this one, it's already had a cockatoo. You win in my book
  9. He comes off as the arrogant barsteward he is in that article
  10. Just joined up, I'll get back to you on how it is
  11. Not after recent events no
  12. It's a bit of both You presented one side of the argument very well whilst ignoring the whole post Dingle period
  13. Ok Rev look at it this way Pre-return from the Dingledome:- "He's been at Bolton reserves, Charlton reserves and a few months at Ewood. He's only a squad player who means next to nothing to our club." "I couldn't give a toss where Todd goes to be honest. He's off our wage bill for three months which is nice. I think he'll do a good job there." "I`d be more upset if one of our ball boys went to Burnley. As for Todd, good riddance. Certainly was never a Rover." "For what its worth, Todd and Burnley deserve each other. I always felt it was an accute embarassment to have a player with Todd's "record" at Ewood." Now i'm not putting names to quotes as that's not my game, although a couple are corkers. However doesn't it show how fickle football in general can be. My own opinion hasn't changed and I do think it is a shame but no loss. If we get no money I feel it is a mistake but we don't know for definite that he has been released do we. Has anyone told you that you'd make a good lawyer??
  14. This is the last straw for me really, I want Souness gone
  15. I don't think Mahon was free Yes he would, but football isn't the real world. Nowhere else would a boss have such a tyrannical rule with the freedom to have public falling outs with a good percentage of his employees. In Todd's case especially it's just Souness' ego that has caused the problem - telling Todd (arguably the player of the season) to sit on the bench because his favourite has come back from injury (Amo) is ridiculous. Todd was childish in his refusal to sit on the bench, but you can see where he's coming from. Don't give me the whole "Well Graeme was justified by the results" because he wasn't - he played so defensive (and Amo still managed to look like a schoolboy at times) that it covered the defensive frailties we've had all season. He!l even Babbel looked good in the current system we're playing
  16. according to teletext he has been released with immediate effect reports say he had "showdown" talks and was told that was it and he was not getting his place back and could leave for free! so basically released but we pay his wages til he finds a new club! Great job Graeme
  17. according to teletext he has been released with immediate effect Utter b******t from Souness then
  18. For me Smith isn't being loyal. He's jumping ship. Sure he's gutted they've gone down, but a TRUE fan would stay and help him team back up- sod the international career. If you were a Rovers fan playing for the team and got relegated would you stay or go? I'd stay, and I'd be surprised if most fans wouldn't agree with me. There is no loyalty in football anymore- only the supporters. Horrible reasoning - he's 23, so he has a few years till he comes into his prime. There's no way he should spend the next two years struggling in a cloggers league because he's a fan. A professional career is much too short for that kind of loyalty.
