To be fair to him, he has. I fear another clanger could be around the corner, probably a confidence player, but hopefully he at least keeps it up until TK is fit again. If he does back to the Pears of the Wigan game last year with only youth team keepers to cover, it won't be good at all. Great to see him earning his wage though. -

It's literally the first time they've succeeded in any sense after going behind in the league, so that seems a very premature statement tbh. Hopefully it means the rot is ended though. -

That is the flipside yeh. I'd still rather Buckley though. He's a bit of a liability, but less of one. We also actually own him, so if he does develop any further it will be to our benefit not Liverpool's. -

Good thing they've come back now, with Wharton and JRC going off injured! -

Nearly every cup game actually, you're right. Bradford, West Ham, Forest, the first Brum game. Every cup game where we have gone behind, we have equalised (though in some we have still gone on to lose). The only times we haven't scored an equaliser at some point in cup games is when we haven't gone behind. Strange that it has taken us until now to do it in the league, especially with so many less cup games and sometimes facing higher league opposition in the cups. The stats this year have been utterly bizarre! From our WLWL streaks (or win 5 then lose 5), to no league draws all season then 4 in a row, and this strange quirk with cup equalisers vs league equalisers. -

I mean, just dropping Morton would probably help turn some of them into wins. -

I believe so. Certainly the first time we've equalised this season. -

I'm wishing he had stuck to playing the safe balls... -

He's got some mates (and a brother) at Rovers. Well, you'd hope so... -

Well he's off now for Hyam so doesn't matter. -

Huh, commentators were saying he had a very confident start to the game, sounded like he was playing well. I'm not watching though. -

That'll teach him to show he's good enough to start. -

Swift is a very good player at this level. I fear for Morton too. He might not be directly up against him too often though, livescore shows Swift more as an AM in the WBA team. If one of our midfield two comes up against him, hopefully it's Travis more often. Who on this season's form probably isn't up to shackling him either, but it should be less severe. -

Your regret may be eased substantially in, well, about 2 hours. -
I don't think football-loving local kids being inside these new facilities whilst we are playing a stone's throw away is a good idea. And I still don't see any wisdom in getting rid of the car park where away fan buses park. It's just asking for trouble, harder to move them to a safe location in an orderly fashion. Imagine trying to escort a bunch of loony Millwall fans to an alternative car park through crowds of Rovers fans.
-
Who is Fielder? I don't see why they would, other than possibly to deal with any repairs or redevelopment to the Riverside. Even then, I doubt it.
-
I don't understand what an astroturf pitch where the away coaches park would achieve, other than making it harder for away fans to get here. If it was to train any of our teams, don't we have training facilities for them already? Perhaps it was all part of the training ground downsizing exercise? And what possessed them to think the council would heavily fund it without access being granted for the public? Bizarre.

First time I've seen it explicitly stated that the appeal is also for the Brierley deal. I hope these are two separate appeals, as the Brierley one really doesn't matter, and bundling them together into one outcome might harm the chances.

So would you say you're overwhelmed by his two windows so far? Or simply whelmed?

No, you were being silly by saying the EFL's query about relegation was within reason. It totally isn't, so I just joined in and took it a bit further. It's really quite simple, I'm struggling to understand why you're struggling to understand it. We don't think it's relevant because: 1) We will have shitloads of money at that point and it will be a relative drop. 2) We clearly look short of promotion calibre right now. If we did get him and went up, it would likely have a lot to do with signing him, in which case again, what's 10 million compared to 170+ million? 3) Due to the shitloads of money, his high wage will, again, be a drop. We would also have a proven Championship performer with two promotions under his belt, whilst attempting another Championship promotion, not the worst thing. By the end of that season if we hadn't gone back up, 2 years of his new deal would be over, with likely only a year or two left, and parachute payments to fund it. 4) If it isn't in the rules for us to include it, they have no right to delay our transfer beyond the deadline to ask about it. If they chose to do that off their own bat, they should allow additional time to answer it, as it is outside of established rules and requirements. The authorities didn't show this sort of 'concern' for our welfare when they let Venkys buy and misrule us, and if anything they're probably getting in our way by asking it and damaging our promotion chances. All of this has essentially already been said in here though by myself and others, so if you're still confused I've nothing else for you.

Only if the notes are highly radioactive.

The LT, I believe it was, said a decision was expected last Thursday.
-
It's not 'within reason' though. It's a pointless and petty query. It's not reasonable that they plucked it out of their arse and we had no reason to expect it. Not sure how that can be considered our fault if that's the cause of problems. They could have sent it back to ask us what LOB's grandad is called or something, that would be our fault too would it?

I don't see how disclosing what lawyers are being hired would harm the legal challenge. I'm sure the EFL are aware of it, they'll more than likely be dealing with them.
