  1. Surely it will depends who the new Director of England cricket is? Strauss is the favourite. He is a big fan of Cook and Moores.
  2. Hopefully he will progress into the 1st team next season
  3. Bowyer has said in the LT that Gestede has been working with Lee Mansell and passing on tips to him.
  4. It was an accident. Nothing more. Mike Atherton is a Manchester Utd fan. He is very well respected person in cricket. Should be involved in the running of the English game
  5. Rittenberg on the right, Green/Mansell centre and Mahoney on the left. it was 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation
  6. Don't see that at all yesterday. We played 4-3-3 yesterday. The first team play 4-4-2 formation.
  7. Went game. Miss 3 hours of the 1st day. But still kept up to date with the game via Sky Sports app on phone and what Cricket writers and Jornos were saying on Twitter. Modern technology for you. Haha. Plus listened to Radio 4 LW coverage on way and back from Ewood Park. How more questions Abbey about it???
  8. Raya, Nyambe and Mahoney. Plus I think I think Mansell could aswell if he develop over the next 12 months. Possibly Lavelle
  9. Bell is a very good batsman. England have batting very well in the last 2 sessions. 1st session was awful..
  10. the game ended nil nil. Raya was the busiest of the keeper with making 2 or 3 good saves in the second half. Green played up front with Mahoney(wide left) and Rittenberg(wide right) in 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation. Green went off after 35 minutes with a hamstring injury. and was replaced with Lee Mansell. Was very impressed with his ability to hold the ball and his strength plus his work rate. Mahoney had 3 or 4 good runs at the Southampton's right back Mugabi. In my opinion, we didn't get the ball enough to him during the game. Mahoney has the ability but needs more influence on the game. was also impressed with Thomson(centre midfield), Nyambe(right back) and Lavelle(centre back). enjoyed the game and they was some Southampton fans who attended the game aswell
  11. Rovers starting line up for this game is Raya, Nyambe, Doyle, Thomson, Lavelle, Jones, Green, Bauress, Rittenberg, Carson ©, Mahoney. Subs: Daly, Crump, Tanner, Mansell, Joel. Southampton:- Gazzaniga, Mugabi, Targett, Gape, McCarthy, Wood, Gallagher, Reed, Seager, Hesketh, McQueen. Subs: Sims, Britt, Sinclair, Slattery, Debayo. Looking to the game and watching it live at Ewood Park Players I looking forward to watching are Mahoney, Green, Nyambe, Thomson and Rittenberg. only 1 player I'm looking to watch for Southampton and that is Sam Gallagher. He is someone I mention about us signing him on loan next season
  12. Yep Test Match starts at 3pm tomorrow on Sky Sports 2
  13. Test match starts tomorrow. Sky Coverage starts 2.30pm
  14. Vaughan hasn't been given the job but did have talks with the ECB CEO on Friday. I think both Vaughan and Strauss will be commenting for BBC Radio and Sky sports on the test series against West Indians
  15. who do people think will become the new director of England cricket team? supposedly 3 names in the frame. names are Alec Stewart, Andrew Strauss and Michael Vaughan.
  16. ParsonBlue, is there any of the current under 21's players who you think will be ready to the first team either the rest of this season or next season? Have players like Tanner, Green or Mahoney improve this season compare to last season?
  17. any idea who Rovers will appoint as Under 21's manager? I would look to appoint someone like Mike Newell
  18. I haven't seen much of the Under 21's this season but I spoken to a couple of people who attend the games. but the only way we will ever know if they are good enough for the first team is by given them first team action. I know Lenihan was very good during his loan spell at Burton.
  19. I would re-sign Green, Raya, Rittenberg, Lenihan and Nyambe
  20. every test playing country has a chairman of selectors. the system has been in place for a number of years. DEFO DONT SEE the problem with it. James Whittaker and Fraser will be watching players in the county game whlist international games are going on.
  21. England have a Chairman of Selectors who is James Whittaker. plus Giles and Fraser are the other selectors. they pick the squad for the games then head Coach and Captain pick the team. the Captain need to have final say cos he is in charge on the field n losses n wins goes on his record as captain not the coach.
  22. Giles has never had his best team out there. some players have always been rested for fitness reasons or for the test matches. Moores failed???.He was the man who put the structures in place. highly rated by as a coach by many Cricket pundits. David Lloyd have said he would pick Moores as his choice for next Head coach. who would you pick as England Head Coach then? please can u give us a name or a couple of choices please? another person I would consider would be Yorkshire director of cricket Martyn Moxon.
