  1. No I just think he working hard bringing in new players within his budget. Yes I dont expect millions and millions to be spend but sensible signings that fit into our team. Hopefully Armstrong is one of these. I dont think for one minute Mowbray would walk away from Rovers.
  2. From nicko Blackburn. Mowbray wants a couple of cheap ones or frees inside budget before a couple of loans. Try to keep inside annual payroll projection of 12m. Blackburn wish list. Cover keeper. Cover centre half. Alternative right back. Midfield legs. Width. Striker. All bar a new left back. From Rich Sharpe. Ask him whether Nicko tweet is correct. His response was "there should be something from the man himself shortly." Tonight Rich Sharpe will release an article from his chat with Mowbray today
  3. AB De Villers has retired from all international cricket
  4. From Sky Sports Reporter Keith Downie New Sunderland owner Stewart Donald says he has agreed terms with a new manager – but will not reveal his identity. Donald has admitted he has agreed broad terms this morning on a two year contract with a performance-based third year. I understand Sunderland have agreed terms with St Mirren boss Jack Ross to become their new manager. Ross was Manager of the Year in Scotland this season. Understand Sunderland have offered Jack Ross FIVE TIMES his salary at St Mirren. They only need to pay around £50,000 compensation to St Mirren. Ross still abroad on holiday. I’m told Jack Ross was very impressed with how keen Sunderland were to land him. Ipswich have also held talks but Sunderland more keen to get their man.
  5. Nope. Not betting with him at all. He has no solid on Dack leaving or transfer budget..just more make up rumours by him. He had alot of info and most not true. Like how many times has he said Rhodes is leaving. I lost count.
  6. Lenihan keen on extended Rovers deal http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16242803.Darragh_Lenihan_keen_on_extended_Rovers_deal/
  7. Firstly, im very chill out and relax. Looking forward to the start of the season and Mowbray's signings. What stuff have you got right? Please list these.
  8. Sky Sports sources: Swansea have made Graham Potter their first choice to take over as manager. The Ostersunds head coach could be appointed by the end of the week.
  9. Good appointment. Hope he does very well there. Expect them to be top 2 and big rebuilding job there. Who next for Derby? If the reports are true that they going to sell players and cutbacks are going to happen. Current bookies Favourite is Brentford head coach Dean Smith
  10. why don't we wait and see what Mowbray says first publicly. we all know about your predictions don't why? it never happens also prediction that Rhodes would be sold about 4 times. including to teams like Bolton and Wigan. also Venkys would sell up. that was about 4 years ago. look at his comments about Dack recently. tell you everything you need to know about Mercer
  11. I read it that he hasnt talk to Mowbray directly but from other people at the clubs things are positive.
  12. I was asking why? It was very genuine question. Can I ask why you think Hurst will go Sunderland instead of Ipswich?
  13. Why? I reckon Hurst will move to Ipswich. Warne will stay at Rotherham..rather they win the playoffs than Shrewsbury Gary
  14. Nothing naive at all. Just dont want another Danny Murphy situation. I would be looking at young(21-26) players to sign this summer. Plenty of good players available Another loads of BS Mercer. Another prediction that will never come true. No inside info. Conway can use his experience and knowledge. Plus he can play defensive winger. It was quote from Rich Sharpe. Thanks
  15. From Rich Sharpe have been trying but nothing as yet - hopefully something tomorrow and then more later in the week. Noises I’m hearing are positive though.
  16. I would pay it for both. Both young, always likely to improve and good investment Yes. No to Gallagher tbf. Would prefer Toney And? Hes been here 2 seasons already. We arent signing him now Different time and different era now.
  17. Sunderland takeover completed. Now need a manager. Bowyer would be my choice.
  18. Armstrong and Toney both available. I would be signing both permanent if we can.
  19. I don't see Lenihan or Mulgrew has midfielders either. I don't want a 33 year old centre back here. plenty of centre backs out of contract this summer. agree on Downing
  20. I can see your point about experience centre half but players like Collins or Huth shouldnt be looked at imo. Too old and wages out of our reach. If we are going to sign a centre back I would rather someone around 26/27 then we have him his best years but Lenihan and Mulgrew would be centre back pairing if we are 4 at the back
  21. Huth hasnt played a league game all season and Collins wages would be far too much for me. We already got some old pros in the squad like Graham, Conway, Whittingham and Mulgrew.
  22. think Rowett would be good appointment for Stoke. huge rebuilding job there I don't feel McCarthy would be the right fit for Derby. someone like Paul Hurst would be better choice IMO.
  23. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16238274.Tony_Mowbray_wants_Rovers_to_be__a_player__in_the_Championship/ From the article Having won promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt, Mowbray says those players will get a fair crack of the whip next season, despite eyeing new faces over the course of the season. But those arrivals won’t be coming to Ewood Park on large salaries, with the boss keen to maintain the positive team spirit within the dressing room which served them well in 2017/18. Taking a long-term view on the situation, Mowbray added: “This group of players deserve respect as well, I don’t think it’s right to go out there and bring in superstar footballers on treble the money the players we’ve got are on. “That would be the wrong thing to do. “We need to build it and if we can be successful next year then we can reward the current crop of players who would be doing well if we’re successful to try and build it bit by bit if we can.”
  24. Isnt he 34 years old? Doesnt strike me as Mowbray type player tbh Mulgrew doesnt have the fitness for the holding midfielder role. Dont know ppl keep mention it for.
