  1. 15 games is no time at all, from what I read he had a clause in his contract that release him if they went down? sensible management from Barnsley but it sounds like they weren't that confident in him from the start
  2. I think Waggott is taking a small gamble on the price structure due to the love in for Mowbray and just popular he is with Rovers fans
  3. how is it hypocritical when I didn't comment on Barnsley cos I haven't seen them play live or any highlights of them. I can comment on Lambert as I have seen their games live or proper extensively highlights not just channel 5 highlights of 2 minutes
  4. we don't need either IMO. i'm unsure if we need another centre back tbh
  5. @Fraserkirky, I would be looking at these positions now the season is over with A tall striker a deep midfield playmaker 2 wingers Armstrong a number 10 back up(Otzumer on a free) a centre back(if Mowbray thinks we need one) .
  6. I cant comment on the Barnsley news as I had haven't watched a game with Morais in charge. Not going to past comment on it. wouldn't be surprise to see Mick McCarthy there next season
  7. Barnsley sacked head coach and Coaching staff https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/statement/
  8. she doesn't sadly why do I need to stop posting? who is Andrew Evans?
  9. yes I have a number of people on the ignore list and still get notifications. I have PM JB and Tom about it and JB said It can't be stopped is the short answer. Sorry! The PM was from 18th February
  10. In my post earlier I explained that I have an understand boss. see post below if you read my reply to your post earlier(posted above) I highlighted what it was like as I child during up in my early years of being a Rovers fan and my family not having much money. since 1996/97 season I have had a season ticket ever since then I haven't done many away games this season due to me buying my 1st house with my girlfriend and I sacrifices away games to do work the house need redecorating, new furniture, etc Next season I have said to my best friend who I go games with that I would like to do 6 or 7 away games Stuart, She is my girlfriend for 5 years and I will ask her to marry me in Edinburgh on 1st of June. She doesn't know anything about it either. But she is practically my wife tho. but I remember your post about when I posted about her being ill and your concern was grateful and I thanks you for that I missed a number of away games when she wasn't well but she forced me to go the home games. Since then we had been well and getting stronger day by day.
  11. well firstly Blueboy, I will just reply this once cos you are on the ignore list but I still get notifications If I lost my job? very unlikely to happen as I am very experience at my job and have over 7 years of the industry which most of the staff don't have and I don't make many errors all year. Secondly, I paid for my season ticket in full so I don't pay monthly so I wouldn't have that problem. Thirdly, My missus lost her job a couple of weeks ago but she worked only part time and she kept most of that money for herself, as I have a good paid job and paid for majority of things and have savings aswell. I live within my means for many years. so don't start judging people or their circumstances or asking personal questions as it none of your concern.
  12. paid it in full each season. I live well within my needs so save it monthly throughout the year, plus I have savings aswell. my job is well paid and very experience in my industry and my boss is big football fan, so I would just change a shift and work a different nightshift. done it a number of times over the past 12 months, there is no problem with me doing this. football come 1st Matty Like I said before I wouldn't need to quit my job as my boss is big football fan and he allow us to switch a shift and working a different night
  13. firstly, I do enjoyed your well balanced post and one of the post in recent times. even tho I disagree on certain points. back in the 90's(93-96) My family didn't have much money and I remember my dad asking me do I want a PlayStation and a game every month(£10-15) or go and watch a Blackburn Rovers football game every month and just one computer game per year(FIFA game), I choose the live football game, and any games I didn't go to I used to listen to Radio Lancashire every weekend or go to my Nan's to watch the game if it was on TV. I was hook on football straight away, I would a lot of kids are now. My Step Daughter loves going to the games and want a season ticket next season. I would always be at Rovers home league games even if it means quitting work or ringing in sick, But I very lucky that my boss is diehard Liverpool fan and understand my need to be at Rovers game. But I can completely understand a lot of people aren't lucky enough to have understanding boss like mine.
  14. No I dont have a limit. Being a season ticket holder is essential and not attending isnt an option for me either. Couldnt be anyway else but Ewood Park on match day
  15. I never said we should only sign former players did I? I trust Mowbray a lot more than any other managers we had since Mark Hughes. Completely disagree on Samuel and think you are being harsh on him.
  16. Stuart, I understood his point of view, so thanks for your concern
  17. sentimental on what grounds? big risk? every signing or every managerial appointment is a risk so why bother making them then? Every manager made bad signings even the great Sir Alex Ferguson or Bobby Robson made bad signings. I wouldn't say Samuel has been bad signings as he has scored 5 goals and had positive impact on the season. He hasn't been a regular in the starting line up since Christmas due to the form of Dack and Graham. in other news I don't think Payne is signing permanently here after his latest tweet.
  18. I understood your point perfectly fine. They are never going to close Blackburn end so your point is mooted. Ive mainly sat in the Blackburn End anyway but never the Darwen end
  19. Yes you are right it doesn't affect me as my season ticket is in the Blackburn End. I always said that the Darwen end should be just for away fans unless we sold out the other 3 stands. You have lie again with your second line of your comments. I can ask why you like sitting in the Darwen end? seem strange to me but hey ho
  20. and you don't know if Chapman will be like that either so stop with such tenuous comments. You just got to trust Mowbray, scouts at the club and the medical department to sign the right players I agree there AJW
  21. very pleased that we announced the season tickets prices finally. will be down next Thursday to sort my season ticket out. I can understand why the club has decided to use the darwen end just for away fans. sensible move and fill the other stands in the ground and if enough people renewal we might open the BBE Upper end to home fans. I'm hoping we can get 15 k plus fans who get season tickets for next season
  22. thats why you get to trust you fitness/sport science staff and phsyio staff that why players do full medical these days. I think Chapman would be good signing for us. Lets just calm down and see if a deal is done first and what then terms are. cant see Mowbray agreeing to that clause in the deal so lets see what happens 1st. my friend knows people at Brockhall and I have no reason to doubt the info or source
