  1. Lets see what comes from those talks 1st. It could free transfers and loans or maybe just a couple millions pounds for players. But Mowbray is meeting the owners face to face which is a big positive and hopefully he can convince them to back him and his plans. We dont know how many players Mowbray wants? IMO we need 6 or 7.
  2. From.Nicko Blackburn. Mowbray going to India for budget talks. Some close to Venkys say there might not be much cash around. #bitinpaper
  3. Tony Mowbray on the importance of his trip to India and conversations with #Rovers owners Venky's https://t.co/EnRLXEtHiD
  4. Mulgrew and Graham will be playing next season here but I can see your point. we do need to find a target man striker cos Graham isn't going to be playing 3 games a week anymore Mahoney should have stayed here instead of going to Bournemouth and never playing there.
  5. neither. But that's for Ipswich fans to decide not me. A lot of fans wanted a change after 6 years of Mick McCarthy in charge and his tactics. Lets see who they appoint. still think it will be Steve McClaren myself Lets give Campbell a chance before writing him off.
  6. Ipswich Town to interview Sol Campbell in search for new manager. @JPercyTelegraph reports https://t.co/Pl0uNmc1lS
  7. Here 2 midfielders from Championship clubs who are out of contract this summer Pack from Bristol City Meyler from Hull City
  8. Scunthorpe played 3 at the back that day. I remember that. Cos Ive seen them playing 4-4-2 on tv before. He can play the wing back role. So its no problem. Seems like you are complaining for complaining sake
  9. Over 7k fans have bought tickets for Oxford game plus all season ticket holders
  10. Hope Fulham get 2nd. Villa for winning playoffs
  11. There is nothing wrong with having 2 different formations and players being use to both. give you a fixable approach and the ability to change during a game and less predictable. Did I ever say they would be massive queue for Caddis and Whittingham from Clubs? Do you mean Downing is terrible and attitude? really? didn't Adelakun play right wing back against us at Ewood Park? according to this he did http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/2984819 , so you point is irrelevant. A younger target man should be target. People have mention Taylor from AFC Wimbledon but he is 28 years old, Samuel did replace Graham when he came off but Graham form meant he didn't need dropping Gallagher hasn't kick on this season and I would hope we look for a better all round target man
  12. nobody has o buy them, we can agree to release them if they find a new club willing to sign them. not rocket science is it? at Portsmouth away it was Lenihan, Downing and Mulgrew at the back 3. Back 3 would be useful at this level and give us a plan B like this season and not be too predictable Yet again Downing and Gestede weren't near their first team at their clubs but Gestede went on to be good player here and Downing came in and did a fairly good job. so lets not right anybody off just yet again Think you are right about maybe Mowbray will opt for this. I think we will see 4-2-3-1 and 3-5-2 used at different points of the season. right wing back? I'm looking forward to the summer and who we are linked with and sign. Full trust and faith in Mowbray. I have already said Conway would be a sub player to bring on for his experience and knowledge of the championship when defending a lead. I think Gladwin has talent but over his career at QPR he never show it. But I think someone like Mowbray could get it out of him. Good player but he would be plan B if we cant get Armstrong back. Feel we need a target man striker in aswell
  13. #Rovers ready to start chats with their star men about improved deals after sealing promotion https://t.co/Z0kegO0dy0
  14. People didnt think Downing was good enough he performance good enough this season. Ive agree tomphil assesment why to keep Conway. See that. We will lose certain players in summer. People like Caddis, Ward, Whittingham, but we got under 23's who are good enough to be part of the squad Not interested in what QPR fans think tbh. We had a big interest in Henegan last summer. He would be available most likely. Hes a big tall centre back. Morris a wide player who score goals and we need that. Plus can play in centre midfield as a back up. Ive watched Gladwin a few years ago at Swindon. Hes was a talent but lost his way. Feel Mowbray could bring that out of him. Exactly why I would keep him.
  15. I would give Gladwin a chance. I would sign Payne and Armstrong next season.. Then a tall centre back. Possible Henegan from Sheff Utd Centre mid- Nolan from Shrewsbury. Travis would be the 1st team squad next season Wingers- Taylor, Chapman(possibly) and Morris.. Big target man. Dont know who tho.
  16. I wouldn't be signing Rhodes or Gestede. massive wages and not sure either fit into Mowbray's plans or tactics. we need a centre back, centre midfielder, 2 wingers one with pace, number 10 back up(Payne), a striker. Possible back up keeper. would keep Conway, Evans, Gladwin and Samuel. try to get rid of Whiitingham if he isn't going to play.
  17. Great job Mr Mowbray. You and the players deserve all the credit. Great achievement that
  18. Not a player ive would signed or play either.
  19. We were in a season where we needed Promotion. Thats matters more. I did suggest playing Travis in a recent game to freshen things up I really pleased that The players and Johnson/Dunn won the league. Great achievement
  20. What signs? He played some in the checktrade trophy and Nuttall, Travis and Tomlinson in the 1st team match day squad..
