I would think rashford playing Central was in his thinking. I think the only unbalance is having only 1 left back
-
Just to add I don't think we'll make it past the quarters
-
On top of that. I would say maguire is slightly above average. But still a good defender. Shaw is having a great run and was named In the euros team of the tournament I think. Rice is one of the best box to box midfielders In the world. Harry Kane is simply world class. Dier is having a good season at spurs. Wilson is leading the line for a top 4 side. Still would rather have taken Abraham. Grealish has improved his performances for city lately and Is a mercurial talent. Sterling has proven himself at international tournaments. None of these are average. People want to talk about overhyped. Take a look at Brazil or Argentina
-
Average? Come on. They play for top clubs. Average players don't play for big clubs.
-
Not understanding the negativity. Hes picked maddison which I never thought he'd do. He's got an array of outstanding attacking talent. We've got the potential of rice and Bellingham in midfield which is as good as most midfields In this tournament. Fullbacks are very good. Trippier and Shaw. One of the best forwards in the world. Centreback isn't great but as long as we have Kyle Walker's recovery pace in there we should be ok
-
Can't see it. We should win the group comfortably. Then it's a possible second round tie against a mane-less Senegal. Then France. As long as we give a good account of ourselves against the French it will be a decent tournament
-
Gallagher offers energy. Hes done pretty well for Chelsea this season. If we need someone to protect a lead then his energy to cover the back 4 could be important
-
Not about quality of squad. Its about Argentina having a settled team and a coach who can get them playing together. No way do they have better players. Not in any position. On top of that they haven't really played anyone on this run. Maybe bar Brazil and Italy
-
Hard to argue with that but Spain underachieved badly till 2008
-
Disagree. I don't see Argentina or Brazil as having a better squad. Brazils fullback options are pretty mediocre. Their attackers I wouldn’t call any of them anything special. Argentina have a lot of good players but other than messi no really outstanding ones. France are clear of everyone else.

Stan tenant's comment. A Ferrari against a Skoda -
Speculation that Abraham and toney are out and Wilson is In. Can't understand that. Wilson strikes me as a run of the mill epl forward. Nothing really special about him. Also no tomori. Which is scandalous as he's 10 times better than maguire. Maddison still not confirmed if he's in or out yet. Though not taking him would be down to southgate's own personal agenda. Part of me wants us to tank so we can get rid of boregate

Honestly couldn't care less about this game which is strange as in past seasons under him this type of game was all we had to look forward to. We won't win so I don't want any key injuries on top of that. Maybe give a start to young batty? -
I do. Saka has everything. His delivery is superb. He can take his man on. He can get u a goal
-
Maddison has to go. If he doesn't then it's madness. Mount is a very good player. He's Been picked regularly by some top Chelsea managers. He offers work rate as well which I'm not sure grealish foden or Maddison would offer. Rashford has to go as he's quick and elusive and can play in a number of positions.

He played 1 season at Southampton. He scored something like 12 goals -
Foden more central
-
I would go with rashford kane and saka. Kane drops deep which is better suited to two pacy wide players making runs rather than foden slowing play Down
-
Not completely true. Kane saka are in great form. Sterling is chelsea's top scorer. Pickford and ramsdale are in good form. Tomori should be in. Dier has been good this season until recently. Stones is back to fitness. I think u have to take maddison. Club form goes out the window when u play for England. Sterling wasn't great last season but was our best player at the euros. I think when these players come into a major tournament. Club form doesn't matter

James won't make it
