I'm pretty sure this season is an anomaly. Hes had 5 years and in that time he's had loan deal after loan deal. How's it progress when these players go back to their parent clubs? Brereton has had the season of his life but there's no guarantee that a: he will be here next season and b: he will hit those heights again. There's multiple players out of contract so its basically reset thats not taking into account the players whose loan deals expire. Mowbray has been winging it the whole time and trying to buy himself more time by the young team, patience, steady eddy mantra. Hes had his time here and has only put us back to where he found us, floundering aimlessly in the midtable bottom half region. If he really believed in progress he would have nailed the out of contract players down to new deals. He has run his course and I for one can't wait to see the back of him
