Let's be honest, this waiting for quality is essentially us hoping that clubs/players lower their demands so they *may* be within our reach. We clearly don't have the budget to sign quality permanent players or they would be here by now. The 2 we have got are both from league one clubs. We've heard this line for a few seasons. History suggests we sign a couple from league one, then fill the loan quota. Then we get the sob story about excessive demands or being unable to compete with other championship clubs. I think JDT is a great appointment. A breath of fresh air. Not remotely confident Broughton/Waggott will deliver the players he hopes for. Our wage structure only seems capable of attracting players outside the top 2 divisions.

Thought we saw the game out reasonably well yesterday. Lack of available defenders a worry, hopefully one in by Tues. Keep saying it though, we need an attacking player who is seriously rapid (Bellamy, Josh King kind of rapid) who will force teams to sit a a little deeper towards the end of games. Missing piece in the jigsaw from an attacking and defesive point of view - in my humble opinion. -

That's a pretty incredible result given the injuries at the back. Broughton needs to earn his coin and get at least 2 in by Tuesday. -
If we could sign another striker to play the 9 role, we could have a very effective front line. Just feel that we lack a goalscorer and/or natural pace up top. Early days but Hedges &BBD out wide seems to work. Szmodic looks like he may have that knack of popping up with goals in the ten role (similar to Dack). Would love to see us sign another forward.

Thought Edun deserves an honourable mention. He had a shocking end to last season but that was a good sub appearance -
