Yes but initially we would need to invest heavily in players capable of playing that way. We won't. That's why it wouldn't work for Mowbray Alternatively, the DoF introduces that from academy level up. In 4-5 years we then have a conveyor belt of players who are comfortable with that system. Then you move to that system at first team level.

I disagree about Kadrah. We looked a far more dangerous attacking unit with him in it. He offered us an outlet, was unpredictable and forced teams to sit a little deeper. If he was our player, I'd be very excited about how he would develop this season. Dack and Buckley will be effective if surrounded by pace. We have zero of that now.

Most people were of the opinion that Mowbray's time was up. Most people expected the club to make a real hash of the manager recruitment and for it to impact pre-season and transfers. Most people expect this season to be the worst ever in terms of 'early bird' ST sales. Most people are not surprised where we are at this moment of time.

Season tickets 2022/23
Wing Wizard Windy Miller replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Last season ticket was the 2019 season. Was getting bored with Mowbray ball that season. Covid came. Not renewed since. Attended a few games since but fair to say I've lost interest in going. That's after 35+ years of watching Rovers home and plenty away. Highs and lows. My days of blind support have long gone. The club has eroded that over the last ten plus years. The ST prices are ridiculous in comparison to other Lancashire clubs. Over £400 to watch a team, whose main focus is to develop and sell on young players? No ambition for promotion. Appalling cup runs. To see our 'best' player be sold each summer and not replaced. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford it but why would I pay for that? So venkys/waggot... Hire a good manager. Invest in the team. Make Rovers as competitive as possible. Set ambitious playing targets. And I will buy into it. Even at premium prices. If not, lower the price considerably. Encourage the younger lads to go for the craic - like my mates and I in the early 80s. I'll be at the cricket or rugby, checking the score. -
It fits with our player recruitment strategy. We identify an A list of players, offer a fraction of their transfer value or salary expectation and then seem shocked they sign somewhere else. We then sign a couple from the C list (lower league) and loan others because we can't recruit. Manager search is exactly the same. Laughable.

They can argue with Leeds about away support next year. -

Leeds are really poor. No fight. They won't finish above the dingles🤦🏻♂️ -
I was referring to what he showed at Rovers early doors. He had a few decent appearances for Forest. If you can name one in that first season at Rovers I'll doff my cap to you sir. I like Brereton, I don't think he got that much stick - everyone was willing him to do well... It just took a long time for him to show what he can do!
